Not much more to say than I'm STILL listening to pretty much nothing but newtallica. Goddamn this is a good record!

Listening To: Metallica - Unforgiven III

I had to come back to say HELL YEAH!

Metallica is back bitcheeeees. Unforgiven III is absolutely amazing... I really love the songwriting this time, the drums and guitars are awesome. Hetfield even sounds better then ever this time around... just everything about this album is great.

definitely buying a legal copy once its out.

Yup, I'm buying it too, without question.

Something funny about unforgiven III (besides the fact that it sounds nothing like the first 2), you can sing Stone Temple Pilots' 'Creep' seamlessly overtop of the chorus. Try it, it' the same damn song. haha.

Still great though. I haven't even found a flaw on this album after probably about 10 listens. Thanks god.

Yeah, I would have loved it if they at least kept the same trumpet/snare intro as the first two. Aside from that, Great track.

That would've been nice, but I just heard #2 the other day and during the trumpet bit I was really hoping it was the first. Kind of a letdown. haha. And I don't even think the new song is in the same key as the others.

Not by choice; he got banned. Apparently humor is highly looked down upon in the unfiction forums

sat was cool. saw a movie at toronto film festival called Martyrs. Jesus christ. that must be the absolute limit of sick disgusting cinema. haha. really great though, it had really interesting ideas that came from the violence.

sat was sweet cause i got the new gojira album. the day was full of bullshit chores around the house i've been neglecting, but that shit just flies by when i've got a great new album on. on the downside i got new Taproot. it ain't so great.

listening to: Gojira - Toxic Garbage Island.

Ya, for a while there Taproot was doin a good job of emulating grunge melodies, and sounded pretty good. But now their songwriting just sucks. everything sounds like it's grasping desperately at radioplay, even though it probably won't get any. I dunno. A band like that, I expected 'em to fall off sooner or later.

However new Gojira is really keepin me happy. Such a great album. It's temporarily taken my mind off new Metallica.

Listening To: Gojira - The Art Of Dying

I know they're kinda scenish and metalcore, but the new bleeding through truly is amazing. Nothing incredibly unique, but the music they construct is just good, solid music. Great drumming, great guitar work, the keyboards give the music an eerie atmosphere, while the singer's voice continues to develop. Amazing production as well. If anything, check out their newest song on myspace...should give you an idea of the album as a whole.

You're not being annoying, but you should probably read before you respond. Look at the bolded phrase.

out of curiousity i downloaded it, and you're right. it's much better than usual for them. but the guy still sings, and i hate his singing voice. it's not something i'd listen to often, but definitely an improvment over 'The Truth' or whatever the last cd was called.

Surprisingly I LOVE the music on the new Trivium album, who I normally despise. The bad part is the singer stills does his ballad style lamewad singing, so it's nothing I'll really listen to. SUCH a shame, cause the music is really great, sounds more like classic 90's Gothenburg metal than metalcore.
