MORE THAN ONE MONSTER!!
Seriously. Im pretty sure the new kishin proves it now..

Ok, we ALL know that only ONE monster attacked New York. Thats a FACT already. BUT, from what i just saw in the new Kishin, there seems to be tens if not hundreds of dormant pods, all containing MGP's. This deserves its own thread, rather than taking up Kosmopols translation space talking about it. Check it out for yourselves man, and tell me what you guys think!

People are still gonna still debate the canon of Kishin, You can't prove either way. It could be pre- or post May 22 Could be happening the same day for all we know.

All I can say is, I saw Clovie take a missile to the eye and died from the deep sea pressure while hugging another Clovie egg.

Also, I now Rule 34 Clovie tentacle porn on the chick in Kishin.

i fully agree with spade. not only cos he's my brotha-from-anotha-motha, but becos it's made obvious towards the end. we were looking for SOMETHING that would be real info from this comic. besides it being cool to have more clover stuff, and we got it.

that weird ass gigantic sac organism at the bottom of the sea.

clover2 (as i've decided to call it) gets injured, and friggin jets down to that weird sac-organism thing, and reabsorbs into it.

the pod is still unexplained. be it an egg, or whatever the hell it could be, clover2 wanted it back. being tied with kishin, it carried strange memories that shocked the beast. i recant any earlier statement of the pod and it's happy memories having some effect on the beast. i'm in full agreement with the wound on clover2 making it lose its bodily pressure. fish that live at the bottom of the sea basically explode if they get too high up. a beast with that much power maybe can maintain its own pressure. it's almost like an airplane getting its window blown out. explosive decompression.

multiple clovers. no doubt.

creating your own thread gives you a raw feeling of power, eh spade? Very Happy

niiiiiiice... should we call them "Sacs" instead of "Pods", as not to confuse the noobs?

Although I hesitate to jump to that conclusion, I definitely recognize its plausibility.
"Sacs" would probably be a fitting term, as it fits with what I'm about to run by you. I hope most of you are already familiar with human reproductive processes - without going into gross and erotic details, tiny wriggly things attempt to push their way into a disproportionately large "egg" which then attaches itself to a blood-rich membrane which provides the egg with sustenance as it develops into an embryo. The embryo develops into a fetus surrounded by the amniotic sac.
In the manga, suppose that we're seeing the reverse. The "egg" which we call the splinter of amnion, finally gets absorbed into the disproportionately large wriggly thing, a.k.a. Clover. As fundamental changes begin to occur the embryo descends to attach to the equivalence of a uteran lining/placenta. Obviously this means that it's not the first time this has happened, since there are so many other sacs down there.
Makes you think about how big the father creature has to be to squeeze off knuckle children that big in the first place - and exactly what all those sacs connect to...I thought my Slusho tasted a little placenta-flavored...

That would be incredible. The sacs contain Seabed Nectar and were harvested for Slusho. Maybe they found the sacs first and the clovies later?

I didn't see clover2 disappear into the sac, maybe he was transferring the pod from himself to the sac?

did anyone else also notice the several faces on the sac? (at least eyes and mouths that were open in a shocked expression)

This is really turning out to be very much like ALIEN, not saying Clover is an alien at all but the life cycle of him? I'm so confused... He was being dragged out, slowly woke up (I'm assuming Tagruato detached a sac?) headed to Tokyo because Kishin's pod is a homing device? Met up with Kishin did a little damage then when Clover took the pod from Kishin freaked out and took a fatal wound and went back into the ocean to transfer a pod to another sac?

Nah dude, the pic on 18-08 has been confirmed and over confirmed that it is, in fact, a whale. Two whales, or parts of them, were chomped on by MGP. Now, i HATE making any references to the Matrix, and i avoid it whenever humanly possible, but, What if the MGPods were "Engineered", kinda like the fields of humans in the Matrix?? Im pretty sure that JJ said that they were thousands of thousands of years old, but What if? Either way, im freakin stoked. Those sacks are freaky as shit, and seein NBE1 absorb into the freakin thing dropped my jaw. Its just awesome. I got nothin new to contribute. Just awesomeness.

Actually, i take that back. What I WANT TO KNOW is, Those sacks are all attached to something kinda looking like a vein, almost like they are branches on some sick biological tree or some shit. I wanna see a wider shot of that frame, so i can know what the hell that "vein" is a part of.

spade, you know how this shit goes Very Happy they give us a tidbit at a time.

i think what we were all waiting for, and what we got, was those last images of clover2 descending into the sac.

to confirm the possibility of more than one monster, and as euchre has always do delicately put: to drive us batshit insane.

we didn't get a complete tie-in. but, IMHO, what we got was much better.

too bad for the lack of explanation on the pod. i know it's not translated yet, but you can just tell by the frames of the manga, that the pod isn't explained.

personally, i think the manga paid off. page 52 made all the waiting through the last episodes worth it. other than that frame, it's just been a fun manga. cults here, tagruato there, blah blah.

but to see clover2 descend into some gigantic pod-tree-thing? excellence.
