Thats as good as any. When I put it through an Anagram finder it came back with 50001 different options. I quit looking at it after the first 2000.

Thats one thing I am really liking about this game. When you are able to play you do. Otherwise you are standing right where you were last time you did play and you just pick up there when you can.

 		I just opened up a cabinet.

Also, I put on my robes and wizard hat.

EDIT: I found a lever. I don't trust anything on this floor, though, so I'm trying to move it with my shoe

Nah, I used some sheets I found lying over the furniture in my room as robes.

EDIT: Moving the lever with the shoe didn't work. Pulling it old-school. Hope I don't die.

Just moved the lever. It opened up a trap door right where I was before I jumped back

 		I am in the process of placing the white queen on the board, I better not die or something.
Also I thought I'd try and pick the brain of our dear landlord a bit so I tried meditating on my various thoughts and this is what came to me-

The raven and writing desk reference is from Alice in Wonderland again, "Muss es Sein" is german for "must it be", I googled sought by yourself and a weird suicide movie comes up, that anagram for the cocoon must have been right!
