I'm heading up there now. The place setting that looked like a clock was pointing at 12:30. So if we find a clock, we know what time to place the hands pointing to.

I can't remember who was originally in the study but I went in after I unlocked it for them and searched. I found a bookmark that helped decode Al Azif (the original name of the Necronomicon). I suspect there's something else in there that will take another clue to find. When I found Al Azif in the library, the landlord kept telling me that there was 'nothing I could put my finger on' and I knew there was something I was missing until I found the bookmark in the study. In the study, whenever I looked around I also got that there was 'nothing I could put my finger on' after I found the bookmark. There may be more to solve.

Will is in the sitting room next door. Batgirl should be trying to unlock that door with the key she found now.

well, I'm going to the study to look for a glass of sherry at the very least, I'll let you know if it's been rifled through already

ETA- okay, I'll rifle some more, thanks!

Maybe something you could put your foot on?

S.P.I was the person in the study. I just went back to check. Also, Fishjp was the person who found the note in the taxidermy room with the butterfly cage.

OK Sorry I am not as active as I could be. RL sometimes gets in the way Wink . I am still on the fifth floor. and have examined the room I broke into. Here is what I found

Quote:
It seems to be some sort of storage room. Bins and chests stacked high all around you.

You begin to rustle through the bins. Inside them are mostly loose pieces of parchment, books, writing utensils, that sort of thing.

There is nothing out of the ordinary as far as you can tell.

I am now looking for another door to kick down. I also took with me a working writing utensil and parchment.

I wouldn't worry about it, Fishjp. It's been pretty quiet today. I think I managed to get lost somewhere because it took a couple hours before I got a response from the landlord. I'm on the fifth floor, too, in the taxidermy room.

Well, I methodically checked the room again and came up with nothing except the rum I had specifically hoped for (I needed a drink). I'll make sure I didn't miss anything and then we can definitely cross "the study" off the list.

I'll leave quietly so I don't wake Stephen.

with the rest of the house in such a ruin I'm surprised it was still intact!
It was probably supposed to break
