If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

You were clearly deprived of the best book ever as a child.

Anonymvs/<insert> I was wondering if you could at least tell me if I was on track..So far we think S might be Spindle or Spring, based on the seasonal conotation of winter and the time reference provided by tommorow, We also think there might be a clue in the timestamps, Are we at least on the right track?

edit:

and as a child, I got the one about the little christmas tree, The Fall of Freddy the Leaf, The little Match Girl, The Giving Tree, and Carebears. o.O

Hopefully you will hear something back from that, Shy. I've read and read over the chat and can't come up with anything relevant, other than what little we already know.

I can...I appreciate a woman of honesty.

You make it no fun for an old man like me. Humans these days, wanting answers right now.

Very well. A Minute has no patience for silly trivialities like these.

Time will tell. Find Tomorrow first. Then find the S.

I thought Second, as well. Who knows, considering that email you received was about as clear as mud... Confused

Am I the only one who finds the use of humans confusing, in normal conversation people would be used. I may be looking into this too deeply but it just struck me as odd

Yep, I find it odd.

I think he is "Old Man Time"

Ok, please forgive the random direction this is about to take (I'm rather good at making strange jumps in logic):

(Also, feel free to tell me how nuts I am Smile

The use of "Anonymvs" has been bothering me. It makes me think of how the Romans used to write upon monuments, using the stylized V for a U. "You humans" could also be a reference to a godlike figure.

The Roman God of time is Saturn, whose festival is held during winter.

Though, the note "A Minute has no patience for silly trivialities like these. " implies our existence in comparison to his is very brief. No idea on Tomorrow, so I guess my random blab isn't particularly helpful.

I'm still leaning towards Second...but maybe Tommorow is a messenger account the PM has set up? *doubts it considering how common that name would be* Anyways...Anyone else have any ideas? The newest email clears up absolutely nothing for me

Find Tomorrow first. Then find the S...

So we're supposed to find Tomorrow first, when he first asked you to find out who S is. Gah!

I've been trying to search other terms that would signify tomorrow, such as "day after today" but no luck so far. I'm gonna keep digging.

And I had you pegged as a "Gaslycrumb Tinies" type! Twisted Evil Laughing

EDIT: I don't know how I missed it the first time but the subject "Sometimes Cookies are just Cookies " is probably a clue. Also, I have a feeling the line "Time will tell. Find Tomorrow first. Then find the S." is referring to the timestamps in the chat log.

Okay, possible lead here...

"Time will tell. Find Tomorrow first." I think this means to look only at Tomorrow's entries in the chat log:

Quote:
Tomorrow (3:30:45 PM): Sorry I was developing the photos.
Tomorrow (3:31:48 PM): Are you sure you don't want to send S over here for them? It's kind of risky sending it through the internet. My friend said they leave a signature or a log of some sort.
Tomorrow (3:33:41 PM): Sorry.
Tomorrow (3:34:57 PM): Thanks…I guess. I figured I might as well name it something easy to find.
Tomorrow (3:34:59 PM): And you're gone all ready…prick.
Tomorrow (3:35:02 PM): …I hope he doesn't see that when he logs in.
Tomorrow (3:30:34 PM): Um…hi?
Tomorrow (2:13:13 PM): What? Until your Viagra kicks in? Sorry Anonymus but I'm not interested.
Tomorrow (1:13:36 PM): Yes. >.> Signing off now.
Tomorrow (1:00:00 PM): Ha Ha. Can I go now?
Tomorrow (0:14:99 PM): OK this isn't funny anymore viagra man

"Then find the S." If S is second, then we should look only at the seconds in the timestamps: 45, 48, 41, 57, 59, 02, 34, 13, 36, 00, 99. The 99 produces gibberish in Hex. However, if you modulus the 99 with 60 (basically converting seconds into minutes and taking the remainder), you get 39, which isn't gibberish in hex:

Anyone make anything out of that?
