Im not sure if this is relevant.. but if you type in http://ftp.theacropolis.com it redirects you to the underscore hosting website.. if you put ftp in front of the other sites it doesnt do this.

That doesnt look relevant at all. Did you mean aquapolis?

or locust1. I think that this has a good chance of being the password.

Or a reference to the Locust Story at littleboxes?

and remember that the locusts story is the only story in the archives that contain "class=Anomalysubmitted" in its source code and created by deleted. This could mean something.

take a look at its source:

There still seems to be some debate about the actual picture of the police dude. I've heard people say that he looks like Marcus Ormond.

I don't think who the picture is of is as important as what it's of: Just a policeman. (Although I'm suddenly curious as to why its a UK Policeman.. maybe "bobby" does mean something afterall)

Anywho... This is the picture found through Google. If you lay the picture right on top of the one posted on PaintOver it doesn't fit exactly. It had to be stretched a wee bit and it fits perfectly.

I've been following this thread since last night, and here is what I get out of this (after all doubious stuff is removed):

:: Caesar
:: carelessly
:: aqua (<- urchins)
:: police
:: ftp (<-I/W E + "search" - all coming from the looking glass icon)
:: Letter F

So, the fact the the cop is British does matter: look/search for Caesar on ftp, @theaquapolis.com, with "carelessly" (or an angram thereof) as the password (??). Now, we have virtually no additional info on Aquapolis except the British investor. AND, we can't be sure that "caesar" is a valid username. Probably it's clastname (imo, it won't be caesarlastname). What last name? British and starts with an "F" (people are catalogued by last names, not first names - so the last name begins with an "F"). The screaming face, imo, is just to reinforce the point: Caesar is going to die.

This way the only piece of information missing is "Et tu"? I think this is what'll happen: we'll get a few more images (binaries 2, 3, and possibly >5). Then we'll have:
00000001 = Eye see
00000010 = word1
00000011 = word2
00000100 = You too (and you? you as well?)

Word1 can be an adjective, word2 a noun, as in: Eye see dark skies; you too (do you)?
OR
Word1 can be a noun, word2 an adverb (etc.), as in: Eye see the_wind coming; you too (do you)?

Are we sure that "caesar" alone is a valid username for aquapolis? If not, then I'll be off looking for a Brithish investor with initials CF.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if nobody threw trouts at me right now; I think it's good to recap and just clear out some stuff sometimes Confused .

The letter F is part of the F, T, and P highlighted files.

Has anybody tried the ceasar cyper on the word "carlessly" as a password?

After realizing that the message behind the picture was FTP @ the Aqua Polic, it seems like that would be far more complicated then the other part of the message. My gues is it's something far more obvious that will have us all smackin our foreheads when we figure it out.

True. But - T and P do not have cards sticking out so obviously (as if somebody was pulling that card/file out). If these are people catalogued in there (can't really see what "things" it could be? even books are usually catalogued by author) - then that is a card/file for a person whose last name begins with F Question

cyphered "carelessly"

jhylslzzsf
vtkxexller

neither work as user names or passwords. Maybe somebody can do something with them.

They are using the S TO L cypher (depending on which way you go). If that is a cypher at all.

It's been mentioned a few times before, and I know I've noticed it too -- All the photographs thus far have been stock images, or pictures just found on the internet. This leads me to believe that the card sticking out of the F section doesn't mean as much as the different colored tabs F, P, T.

Lets say I wanted to create an image that will hint at the word "FTP." If I find a picture of a card catalog thing, I can't edit the picture enough to remove that card sticking up from the F section... but I can color the tabs slightly. Does that make sense?

There is a card sticking up from the F section. There is also something blue in the P or Q section. Its quite far behind the P, and could very posibly be in the Q section. Also there is something blue in the V section, not T. But I think those are all just part of the image that was found on the internet.

Yes, no?

too deep

honestly.. I think we are digging too deep into things. The other passwords etc came rather easily when another clue was placed.

I think all this means is to ftp into theaquapolis.com.
When you do this caesar has left a welcome message to remember userSPLATdomain.tld. (someoneSPLATtheaquapolis.com) Which will come in use later. Because we aren't sure of any user names into theaquapolis.com. I do know that some sites require anonymous login to have an email name as a password such as login : anonymous pass:user@theaquapolis.com.
The files being pulled out woudl probably suggests a file is left open to access when we require the login.
When we gain access its probably something like in a F folder ( or other letters that have the files popping out.
I think the time spent on this between updates is just breeding lots of different angles that lead to no where.

Hi,
the Neuromancer connection doesn't seem to lead on.
I've tried several character names etc. as passwords, but nothing yet, still trying.

But, I noticed something else: on Little Boxes, there's a story submitted by a "Cassius van der Rijn" (it's "You'll Never Guess Who This Is", #75, about the telephone calls, reported from Europe).
Maybe that's the missing link, dunno.

Cheers,
Mac
