This is what I understood so far:

- Personal Labyrinths:
Done within 12 weeks before the (multiversal) olympic games. Helps to prepare the many worlds for the synchronization event. Minor effect on overall world count.

- Athletic Labyrinth (7-circuit labyrinth)
Done during the (multiversal) olympic games. Best done on 6 places so that coordination could be possible with at least one other world. Needed for reducing the number of worlds and to synchronize the many worlds.

- Training Labyrinths (3,5 or 7-circuit)
Only for training of the Athletic labyrinth. No synchronization at all.

- City-sized Labyrinths
For multiversal travel a real big omphalos of the size of the earth is needed with 27 knots. One knot is a city-sized labyrinth. I guess this is mainly needed to bring back our amnesiacs into their original world. Not needed to save the worlds.

Practice Labyrinths should reduce the number of worlds too if the players are precise enough about it- I mean, it should work through the effects of athletic alignment or athletic co-ordination described in chapter 16. That chapter seems to indicate that any kind of sport training would reduce the number of worlds if you were precise and deliberate about it.

Do you mean Kai is confused? He plans what he calls "Labyrinth Training Festival" at New York to decrease the number of the worlds.

I feel almost everyone is confused Smile

But how and why should someone on another world make the same training labyrinth on the same location and same place? It is not registered or communicated to the other worlds (like personal or olympic labyrinths).
The chapter you refer, is just about describing that synchronisation is best done within a human. Athletic synchronisation is the basic principle why personal or olympic labyrinths work at all.

Personal labyrinths aren't athletic at al.

Whether training labyrinths can decrease the number of the worlds is very significant. I'm discussing a plan for running labyrinths in Japan with my friends, but to pursuade many people to join us, I feel training labyrinths must have their own significance.

In Ariadne's forum I found a thread titled "Do City Labryinths have to be run on or before 21st June?" posted by Chippy, and it's not answered. I wonder if he's still looking for the source, but just now I was looking for it, so I raise this thread.

Did Eli say this important date only in the chat with Mr.Judkins? Isn't it important?
May we make this chat IG?

And I don't think all 27cities can finish building their labyrinth by June 21st.

I've now made that portion of my chat with Eli unquestionably IG by posting it in reply to Chippy - as I state there, he suggests that prior to the 21st is the "best time" for these "military exercises" of giant labyrinth making to occur.

I agree that it's unrealistic that they'll all be done by then. Perhaps if confirmations had come back to us earlier we would have a better jump on them by now...

Yeah... I'm still not quite over the flu, so a little bit grumpy. Very Happy

Perhaps a little irritated that we had to wait so long if there is a time constraint on us to complete these. He's a lovely man, with a wonderful voice, but he's shocking when it comes to quick replies...

Thanks a lot for your responses, mr.judkins!

I think there're some cities among 27 that don't have any plans yet.

This may be a clarification from Eli. The solstice June 21st is not a deadline, he called in the peak time.

Do we have a list of 27 cities? I tried to look for one earlier but got side tracked.

Excellent work, your design is approved.

Please work with others to calculate the omph strength.

The formula is Circuits x Stadia / 3

Thank you very much, jasper. I would appreciate it if you could post the info on this thread to make it IG.
