I'm not pasting the whole thing because it's going to screw up the formatting of the page, and also because the result depends on whether you "decode" or "encode".

Good grief! AnthraX101: If you stick any binary into a base64 convertor and encode, what comes back out is all uppercase Ms Ts Es Ds and As and lowercase xs and ws? How's that for a coincidence (the letter 'w' notwithstanding).

I suppose the fact that it spews out lots of the letters in Metadex might still be a clue, albeit not as elegant a clue as I first thought. I'm now wondering if a message like the one I imagined is possible, where you could arrange the binary to produce output from the base64 converter, which when properly formatted spells Metadex a lot either downwards or along diagonals. Looking at the converter output, I can see it breaks down into these four character segments:

MTEx, MTEw, MTAx, MTAw, MDEx, MDEw, MDAx, MDAw

Can it be done? I'm curious. Maybe it doesn't matter enough to bother trying. Texel's binary certainly doesn't do it in any obvious way, so perhaps my conjecture is a waste of time. I was hoping to get a sense of texel by fully understanding his clue (if it indeed was one). Still, when I look at that output, I see Metadex! Probably because the mlo password was taking about 25% of my available higher brain function until a few hours ago. Laughing
