So: WHAT pledge (to TheO)? What vision did he have? What about the omphalabyrinth locations??? Have we got confirmation that Markus has become a TheOrist indeed? Shocked

Possible Labyrinth Cities

After I took the TheO oath, James gave me a folder with nine really old maps that had cities marked where there are heavy concentrations of TheO. I think the assumption here is that these are the Labyrinth Cities. Here are the twenty-four locations from those maps:

Bankok, China
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Manila, Philippines
Reykjavik, Iceland
Goteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden
Sydney, Australia
Melbourne, Australia
Wellington, New Zealand
New Delhi, India
Madrid, Spain
Paris, France
London, England
Munich, Switzerland
Vienna, Austria
Berlin, Germany
Beijing, China
Cape Town, South Africa
Vancouver, Canada
Toronto, Canada
San Francisco, CA
Los Angeles, CA
Dallas, TX
New York, NY
Boston, MA

I've sent this to Ariadne and Eli suggesting to them we keep where we got this info from on the down low.

Thanks for making the time to compile and post the list RangerD.

Woohoo Wellington! Very Happy

Ahem.

As for the other info, Canzonett, I'd say we'll be waiting another 10 hours or so for all the San Francisco people to have a well earned sleep... I'm sure we'll hear all about it "tomorrow".

No cities in Japan? And has Seoul disappeared?

Isn't it Bangkok in Thailand?

Probably errors from reading them off old Atlas maps, as per Ariock's Video.

These are also only 24 - so there are three cities yet to come...

I agree. I'm sorry I hadn't seen the video.

Very good jobs, all SF people! I couldn't concentrate on following things, but I will look through all reports, photos and videos later.

Cities in the US...
I can help with Dallas!!

OK, so finally a city in my state showed up! Very Happy

Just to put it out there I can easily get to Dallas to help out with this city labyrinth, with whatever is needed. Though it's still a very big cities, with lots of suburbs and it kinda sprawls out a lot from the 'downtown' area... it might be a bit difficult.

Anyone else that can help in Texas? Let me know!

And no cities in South America?

EDIT: To be honest, I think the 27 omphcities would be the 24 cities listed above plus São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Seoul, and all Japanese Ringers will despair, then go to the counter-agonothetai side .... Smile

EDIT 2: To be more honest, I believe we Japanese are encouraged to insist Tokyo should be an omphcity instead of Seoul.

What exactly happened there? TheO Oath? I am looking forward to the whole report.

Munich, Switzerland and Bangkok, China. Let's hope these locations are not on a parallel world and we have to use the PanCosmologizer to map them on Gaea Smile

Very Happy I was hoping for Houston, but now that I see it, I can easily believe there would be a TheO crowd in Dallas! Laughing But I can help.

Where is Philadelphia? Should that be on that list, since we know it was used as a omphalabyrinth??

EDIT: I guess I'm not understanding (since these were old maps) if this is a list of Theo cities from like 1920 or if this is supposed to be a list of current Theo locations.

Either way, Theo may not be on just every omphalabyrinth spot. They may not know everyone of them or even not have enought people to get then all covered.

I guess Philadelphia was an old Omphaloi city.

How should we handle the organization of labyrinths within the forum? Should we do one thread for each city (like we started for some already)? How can we garantuee that for each city there is a City Captain (with a trackstick) and people planing and running the labyrinth?

Will there some kind of approval for the labyrinth designs?

I think one good way to keep information up to date is the wiki
