 		But then again, Chuai was Before the NY attack, and their station was already equipped with .50 cal (im assuming) gun turrets on each corner of the station, all pointed downwards at the ocean. That seems like an "anti Monster" precaution to me, no?

You know, I initially had a wild theory that I didn't want to share just because I know how this board can degenerate quickly Smile
But, you breached the topic, so...

pod = pollen
sac = flower
J-Clover = delivery system

The pod is released. Clover searches it out and consumes it. The pod causes Clover to go to the sac structure and dissolve. The pod merges with the sac, fertilizes it, and causes ??? to grow.

That was my initial thought, but it just seems a bit unwieldy from an evolutionary standpoint. Pending translation, I'm still with the "pod caused Clover to go nuts and suicide dive" theory. No absorbing...just crushed against the pods surface by pressure.

Guess the translation will tell us, hmmm?
