Here's the conversation I had with Dr. Green, Providence's father.

However he's controlling Providence could be affecting her mentally.

Well, if it turns out that Providence is AI, Dr. Green could have 'fathered' her by inventing her.

 		If she's AI, it really makes me wonder what Dr. Scott (or whoever it was that got dismissed after doing something to her) was doing. My mind immediately went to abusing female patients so now it's like, "attempted to turn her into a sexbot!" but I somehow doubt that's the case.

I wonder if he's maybe upset about his dismissal. If only we had a way to contact him...

 		I would think it was actually doctor green who abuses Providence in some way...as in corrupting her memory, trying to control her AI, etc.

So perhaps scott was the only one who knew, and he had to be "disposed of" soas not to ruin green's control of Providence.

just me postulatin Razz

Spoke with Providence...She said she didn't know he'd been on her IM. Hope something bad doesn't happen!

Also I think green must know something about AI and such...as in "Machines can never be sentient" doesn't seem like a normal person's response, you know? I wouldn't say it in those words if someone asked me about AI or something. Maybe I'm just babbling. -.-

 		Just got a reply to my email to Providence telling her that her IM was unsafe. Told her that we all want to help her and if her email was safe maybe she/we should use a "safe word" when emailing.

considering the whole AI thing, the Matrix' Morpheus may also be meaningful, as a charachter helping people to escape an illusory world.

I don't think that physical things she said to do are a reason not to think she is AI: people in second life constantly go to malls and change apartments without being any physical! Wink

I'm sure everyone has noticed that, but just to put it here: the way she talks is sometimes clearly mechanical, substituting words with their dictionary definition (for example while talking about atlantic ocean in a chat).
I'd be pretty sure that she is AI, what I'd ask myself is: is she maybe an embodied AI, an android?

I've been lurking for a few days now and haven't jumped in because I haven't had anything to contribute. I still don't think I do but... has any one noticed the weired smiley face next to the Feb. 9th post? I don't know what it would mean but it seems out of place.

Also, has the comment made by user name Enigma Fisk been discussed?

I tried the binary code tools you guys use but I don't seem to be doing it right because all I get are random letters.

I did look up the name Enigma Fisk though as I though I recognized the name. It is a character from a line of comics called Amalgam, which was a joint effort by Marvel and DC comics years back to morph together DC characters and Marvel characters. Enigma Fisk is part Kingpin and part someone from DC that I don't know.

Is this Enigma Fisk one of you guys trying to leave her a message?
