Mine's a different set of letters. It might be just to identify you.

According to mine I have 8 left, not 7. I can't for the life of me seem to see which one that is though. I think I've been staring too long. ( I can't count Embarassed )

ETA: Yeah, if you add it as a facebook app, it lists anonymous webplayers by that string of numbers/letters.

I've just updated the google spreadsheet with #21, so it has all of the co-ords we've found so far.

Out of curiosity, does the facebook app say how many whoever's in first has? For reference, my ID number is:

I'm #4 in that list.

ETA:

#10 looks like an island that can't be more than 100 yards across. And I'm guessing it's either a very well trafficked area or not a satellite shot; all through the Caribbean the resolution is nowhere near that quality for such a small island.

#31 looks like a boat refueling platform or something similar. Also can't be more than 30-40 feet across, but considering the quality of the image I'm guessing that is from Google Earth or the like.

On #22, the blue on the map looks like canals, and I'm guessing we see one of them in the sat image there in that row of bushes along the bottom of the picture. The farm road is probably the upper road that comes in from the right and dead-ends.

I don't know how any of this helps. Is it going to require scouring google maps like it took to find that lake??

Interesting concept here ... and probably too late for me to do much with, but as a general question, what was the point or instruction for this game? Had I stumbled over it some other way I wouldn't have any idea what to do with it. I gather entering coords but what are the numbers under the pictures for? Basically, how ya play this deal? How did you guys figure out what you're even supposed to be doing at all? (Aside from the obvious entry of coords)...

I didn't want to read thru the forum so as not to get answers - just get an idea of what the hell I'm supposed to do and see if I can ;-p

Thanks

We actually don't know the purpose; we don't know if it's a time waster or a trailhead at this point.

If you don't want to read the spoilers, here's the gist: each image with a respective clue leads to a specific latitude/longitude coordinate. Be it a snapshot image on Google maps, a building, an event location, etc... Everything boils down to a specific point on the Earth.

We've found 42 of them, and to be honest some of those so far were somewhat of an amazing find. I think the seven that remain are the most difficult of the lot because we don't have much to go on.

# 31

the binary numbers in the hint corresponds to the following decimals:

101011 = 43
000001 = 1
110001 = 49
000111 = 7

So 43.1, 49.7 comes out to be somewhere in the Caspian Sea...if the binary to decimal conversation assumption is correct, we need to find something in the Caspian Sea...

Nahalal
Jezreel Valley, Lower Galilee, Israel
32.69 Lat
35.20 Long

(hmm, the other coordinates worked for me, try these instead)

now we only have 6 to go

#46

the reverse order of the code is:

HTROWELTTUHSTHGIR = RIGHTSHUTTLEWORTH
WREISUBROCABAYACA = ACAYABACORBUSIERW

Now the first one can be divided into 3 words,

RIGHT
SHUTTLE
WORTH

and the first word for the second code can be

ACAYA

which i think is a chain of hotels or something related...other words r yet to make any sense for me...may be they r in some other language

*EDIT* coordinates of #18 r not working for me Confused

Trout

Ummm, fAr stAr, from Monday...

Also, I find it interesting that #24 is a house by Ken Shuttleworth, given that the clue for #46 is:

Code:
HTROWELTTUHSTHGIR
WREISUBROCABAYACA

KMx15

and if you read the first two lines backwards you get:
ACAYABA
CORBUSIER
WRIGHT
SHUTTLEWORTH

who were/are all architects.

Acayaba architect of pic #2
Corbusier of #40
Wright of #14
Shuttleworth of #24

The thread is only 8 pages long at this point, shouldn't be too hard to catch up...

Re: #46

EDIT: to take out redundant trout information Smile

Thus, "KMx15" might the relevant clue for the island picture.
