Odette Yustman(Beth) New movie

Five join David Goyer's 'Unborn'!

Meagan Good, Carla Gugino, Jane Alexander, Idris Elba and Rhys Coiro have joined the cast of David Goyer's Unborn.

The supernatural thriller, which will be produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes company, revolves around a girl haunted by the soul of a boy who died in the Holocaust.

Gary Oldman and Cloverfield's Odette Yustman are already among the cast.

Oldman plays a Rabbi who helps exorcise Yustman's tormented character. Good stars as Yustman's best friend, with Gugino playing her mother.

Alexander is to play a Holocaust survivor, Elba a priest and Coiro a college professor.

Production on Unborn begins today in Chicago.

Updated

I just tripped over this tonight while on my Gary Oldman fix (which I need regularly to prevent night terrors and spastic episodes, he soothes me, he fuckin RULES but anyhow on with it)...

On the IMDB for GO someone posted this link to cast pages for this movie:

'Evil' has been lurking in Kankakee.

So have some movie stars, who were at Shapiro Developmental Center recently to shoot portions of the horror move, "The Unborn."

Veteran actor Gary Oldman, who was last seen as Sirius Black in "Harry Potter" and upcoming talents Odette Yustman, who played in the movie "Cloverfield;" Idris Elba of "American Gangster; "and Cam Gigandet of the television show "The O.C." were at Shapiro on Friday, Tuesday and Wednesday, said John Pisani, the Chicago publicist for the film.

Oldman will next be seen as Lt. Gordon in the upcoming Batman movie, "The Dark Knight."

The film crew, which filmed there one day last month without actors, came from Chicago, Pisani said. No local firms or individuals were hired, although Mich Zeller of Campus, was a production assistant on the Shapiro set on March 17.

The crew built a set on the third floor of the west wing of the Shapiro administration building. It portrayed a chapel with life-sized Christian statues built into the walls.

The cast also includes Academy Award-nominated actress Jane Alexander, who did not appear at Shapiro. The movie, which is due to be released next year, is being produced by Michael Bay ("Transformers"), among others. It was written and is being directed by David Goyer ("Blade: Trinity").

The film crew wrapped up the local shooting Wednesday and will not be back, Pisani said.

The film's story, according to information provided by Pisani, is about how "the soul of a dead person has been so tainted with evil that it is denied entrance to heaven. It must endlessly wander the borderlands between worlds, desperately searching for a new body to inhabit. And sometimes it actually succeeds.

Casey Bell (Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spiritual adviser, Sendak (Oldman), who can make it stop.

With Sendak's help, Casey uncovers the family curse dating back to Nazi Germany. It's a creature with the ability to possess anyone and it gets stronger with each possession. Casey's challenge is to stop the curse by shutting a door that lies beyond reality. This is not the first time that a horror film has been made, at least in part, at Shapiro, a state residence for the developmentally disabled that was founded in the 1880s as a hospital for the insane. In 1988, scenes from "Child's Play" -- the first in the series of Chucky films -- were shot in the administration building.

One of the props is a Book Of Mirrors...this movie could've made a pretty interesting game tho...and I'm both envious and jealous as hell that Odette's barely even busted into the industry and already scoring a gig with Gary Oldman...AND she didn't actually die (the first time) in Coverfield from getting spiked. And probably didn't die in the end either cause she's a hottie ;-p

Anyway, saw this mention and thought I'd share the cast sheets and article. Carry on.

Saw her in Walk Hard today. She hits a joint and blows the smoke in Dewey's mouth. They talk about Cloverfield in the commentary!
