From our previous attempts to contact the establishments where the Artifacts are being held, the people who work there have always been under orders not to provide information unless someone shows up to pick it up.

CouchSurfing. You can search 'location by selection' with the options Central Asia >> India >> Popular CS Cities >> Bangalore.

To help out those approaching people in India and Switzerland, here is what I sent the person in Bruxelles:

mr.judkins wrote:
Subject: I'm in a global community playing a part online/part real-world game...

and we're needing an envelope picked up in Brest.

I'm sorry to contact you like this out of the blue, but
it was the only other avenue I could think of
personally - and one I'd used to find someone for the
pickup in Seoul, Korea.

Other such envelope pickups have occurred in locations
such as Bruxelles, London, Toronto, Sydney, Austin,
Cardiff, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Johannesburg.

You can find movie-style trailers for the game at this
website:
http://www.thelostring.com
A French-language blog from one of the fictional
in-game characters here:
http://www.findthelostring.com/lucie/home.do
And the thread about this pickup in the player
community forum:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25257

The game has been financed by the Olympic Committee,
and is being played by a vast number of people around
the world in 7 different languages.

Unfortunately, however, noone playing has been able to
find friends in Brest who can help with the pickup.

The details of it's location in Brest we were
originally given were:

Le Jabado
Side room
Lefthand corner
Under table
Pile of books
Inside envelope

Which we believe to be Jabadao Bar at 5 Rue Massillon.

What we're asking whether you can do is to go to the
bar, collect the envelope, and communicate back to the
player community a code which will be at the bottom of
the page inside it. A totally crazy mission, but one
we figured someone willing to invite strangers to stay
on their couch might be open to. =)

An example of a previous page with code at the bottom
is here:
http://olympics.wikibruce.com/images/c/c9/CotLR-5Bp1.jpg

If you're not interested, I totally understand, but if
you might be keen to get involved in this truly global
adventure, let me know - I'd be happy to fill you in on
the rest of the game, and the story so far (it's a bit
like a real-time Science Fiction film played out in
the "real world").

It's a chance to meet more friendly people from around
the world, and work with them to solve puzzles,
interact with characters and progress the story
through to it's conclusion - which by all accounts
will be a part of the televised Closing Ceremonies of
the 2008 Olympic Games.

If you're in, you can email me at [my email address],
or simply reply through Couchsurfing.com - or otherwise
say hello on the player forums.

Thanks for your time!

[mr.judkins]

It took a few days, but I eventually got a reply in my email - and she was able to pick up the codex chapter for us in the end. Hope this helps!
