Along the lines of what we're attempting to do with the labyrinth, here's an amazing feat done by someone with a GPS tracker -
Biggest Drawing in the World
our labyrinths will be much smaller, but it's amazing what this guy set out to do, and did it successfully, drawing a self-portrait over the face of the earth.
This is pretty much precisely what the tracksticks will end up doing... he just did it manually, and by courier
(thanks vpisteve for posting this at mysdirection!)

@Canzonett: According to Kai's message in the block that we should post our willing to take part if an labyrinth will be in our city, should we build a team and message Kai? Are there any others near Munich who want to come with us?

There is debate as to whether that is real or fake, though...check out the comments at this site . But yeah, if it's real, very cool...and it will be awesome to see our own labyrinths superimposed on the globe, too!

Don't tracksticks need to be returned to Kai afterward?

We've had no indication that they will - I was assuming they're effectively "swag".

Has anyone been able to find a price for these Tracksticks? I would think they're kinda pricey...not your inexpensive Codex swag, that's for sure. I would have expected they'd have to be returned. Kai will know where you live, after all (since you have to give him your mailing address to get one in the first place) .
Now that he's opened the door for people to request tracksticks for their area "just in case" (though a stick won't actually be sent out unless your city turns out to be a knot city...it's just to speed the process up in that event) I am considering putting in a request for Toronto. I am just afraid that Toronto will come up and I'll turn out not to be available at whatever time/date I'm supposed to do the big labyrinth, but I guess I could always act as the receiver and then pass it on to someone who can actually use it in that event (like the Kitchener labyrinth team, for example).

True indeed, dreamerblue - I had a quick look and found prices ranging from $150 - $200 US. I guess they may be required to be sent back after all...
Also, I imagine that an additional benefit of having people request tracksticks for their area "just in case" is generating a fresh database of player addresses.

Thank you, mr.judkins and dreamerblue, I asked the question because I want as many Japanese as possible to join us. I think it's Trackstick II, and I saw a price of about $250 or so in Japan, and $190 in US amazon.

Eli told me these don't have to be synchronous, so an exact date/ time will probably not matter. Just being ready, willing and able.

To answer your question once and for all, unagi - Kai's first ever tweet:

Of course we should! Shall I mail him or will you? How about AUZ505?
However, I don't think my first labyrinth sketch really fulfills the requirements yet ("the rings must be of uniform width, or at least very close to uniform width"/"The center of the labyrinth must be as close to the true center as possible"). Need to work on that. Alternatives welcome!

I already contacted Kai and got this reply:
"Thank you for volunteering for this mission. I will list you as city captain for Munich or Augsburg and immediately send you a trackstick if either city is revealed as a location for an omph knot."
(where Augsburg was meant as a joke )
So let's see, if Munich gets selected.

Well done. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Munich. I'll continue modifying my original sketch a bit, until we know whether we may omphalabyrinthise or not.

There - I've tried to make the starting point a little more "centered". Further suggestions for improvement welcome!
