Well, countdown's over. After nothing happened (except a new clock) I went off the site for one minute, and now the camera's been moved back to its old spot. Anyone catch what happened?

EDIT: On top of a new second clock counting up, every time I retype the URL the camera repositions. WTH? It could AT LEAST show the trailer we've been expecting...
EDIT 2: http://residentevil.com/ and http://www.residentevil.com/ show different screen shots. One shows the original hut shot and the other the street shot. Weird, but still, no trailer, no trailhead...
Edit Final: Looks like it was just a countdown to an updated site. I feel like such an idiot...

Something's happening to the site - I imagine it's getting bombarded, but I've had to put in my age and country so far...

EDIT - seems like a standard game site actually - trailer, gallery and some wallpapers of what looks like production notes. If anything was gonna be anywhere, I'd imagine it'd be on those wallpapers, but I don't see it.

I call no ARG?

Doesn't look like it. Although ALL THAT for a website update was disappointing, at least I got to see the new RE trailer. The new monsters look cool, like Blade 2 meets RE4 meets old-school zombie, but... I still wanted it to be a ARG.
There's always next time.

Perhaps worth keeping an eye on though, it's not released for about nine billion years - plenty of time to get an ARG rolling. Although I suspect that's more wishful thinking on my part than anything else.

This is true - but no other game series gets me as rabid as RE. I've bought four consoles up to now purely because a new RE game was released for it (Code: Veronica on the Dreamcast, Code: Veronica X (with the much better ending) on the PS2, RE Remake, 0 and 4 on the Gamecube, and Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii). I've been holding off getting a PS3 or 360 up till now, but this is gonna be the game that makes me finally cave.

I may buy a PS3 with MGS4 to tide me over.

It looks like the countdown (countup?) ends in about 11.5 hours from now, or 12pm CT (1pm ET, 10am PT). Anything scheduled at E3 for RE?

Has the countdown finished? I'm at the site now and all I see is a BSAA satellite feed of K.A.Z that keeps zooming in and out on various areas, the most interesting area being the one where about six little blobs are shooting at one massive blob.

EDIT - Ok, just figured out where the countdown is...
