Assuming the for statment is meant to be.

Quote:
for (int i = 1; i < n; i++)
{
Console.Write("[{0}]", i * (i - n));
}
Console.WriteLine("");

the out put is as follows

Quote:
[-4][-6][-6][-4]
[-6][-10][-12][-12][-10][-6]
[-3][-4][-3]
[-5][-8][-9][-8][-5]
[-6][-10][-12][-12][-10][-6]
[-2][-2]
[-5][-8][-9][-8][-5]
[-3][-4][-3]
[-4][-6][-6][-4]
[-7][-12][-15][-16][-15][-12][-7]
[-4][-6][-6][-4]

Not sure if this is correct though

I think maybe the numbers for n in each statement is our key.

Hmmm. Eleven lines here and eleven lines in the new puzzle posted on RK's blog. Not sure if that gets us anywhere.

I'm just guessing on how to do this but im getting this...

It's probably wrong but i took "i n" as a two digit number substituting for i and n , then multiplying that by whatever i-n was after substituion. For example, if n=5, "i n" was 15, "i-n" was -4, then multiplied they equal -60.

-60
-102
-42
-80
-102
-26
-80
-42
-60
-126
-60

Unfortunately, the answer i get makes no sense, so its 99% likely wrong, and 1% likely that something else needs to be done to get the final answer.

Can we please keep the discussion together and easily visible for anyone coming into the CF forum late? Like say in the [HOLO]RK Email 6/10 thread?

It just makes more work for everyone to be jumping back and forth between threads and then trying to remember which one is the current thread.

Well, I'm new at this and didn't get anywhere. I tried that Vigenere code thing with the following words:

holomove, safeguard, code, nathan, seventeen, hafnia

Nothing. What if the e-mail sent was the "code" word for decryption? Numbers representing letters or something to that effect?

It says that the 6/10 thread does not exist. Personally, I don't see why we can't keep it here since it directly relates to RandomKnowledge: both code & e-mail were sent from him. I find it hard to keep up with all of the new (non-existent) threads.

Ah, my mistake, it DOES exist. I had the thread open already. Sorry about that.

So, we're all agreed to move to the new thread?

*moves over*
