mine is "f.jpg" ... I don't know how to copy it into this message, though.

Well, the element idea was a bust. There are only 5 (counting "F") that could stand for elements:

Es- Einsteinium
F- Fluorine
Ni- Nickel
Fe- Iron
Zr- Zirconium

Going through Google images, no matches hit with the picture (Standord, Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Los Alamos, Buckingham Palace).

Maybe it's just a scramble of letters, but I liked my idea better. Rolling Eyes

It could be another viginere cipher, but we'll need all of the pieces to find out. The content of the image itself may not be important except for being a way to put the ciphered text in the proper order.

Oh, and I also got bs.jpg Wink

FWIW, the message "The First Cut Is The Deepest" could be referring to the song of the same name, originally sung by Cat Stevens, and later covered by Jim Morrison, Rod Stewart, and Sheryl Crow, among others.

But, I would guess it is probably something more abstract... maybe just referring to the fact that the picture is all cut up, or maybe we need to "cut" something...

Here is the updated puzzle with f.jpg from CCS

When I heard the tagline "The First Cut is the Deepest", I thought of Dr. Gough being stabbed in the back.

Did we use the Hafnia key yet? I wasn't sure if we had actually needed to, but were we supposed to? If not, this might be a good time...

So far the single letter pieces are following the triple letter pieces, which could/would work for a Playfair Cipher. As you said, the subject of the picture may be the needed key.

Nevermind. I don't think "hafnia" works. Not even past the "h". And why would we need all the clips to get started? The first line is finished, wouldn't that be a good starting point?

My guess is that the remaining missing pieces will all be 2 letters and the Vigenere key is

We did use Hafnia. It was a key used with an image sent to enaxor from RK. That's where we got the note.txt and the two Belize pictures.

Who knew I'd learn so much about ciphers in one day, and still not know how to use them? Confused I guess I'll have to sit out on this one. Well, maybe still work on the building. Wink

D00D - you are SO gonna have to explain just how you came to this conclusion...

For the record, IT WORKED. Post forthcoming.

Why did Rogi guess that and how? My two main questions. A connection of dots would be nice.
