Deletia, I've watched the scene again, just because that episode is soooo über-cool since the first scene, I couldn't resist watching it again Razz But usually you can find the transcripts in the Lostpedia. Just type www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Name_of_the_Episode_transcript

Just a bit of info..

The trigrams shown in the rotating ring read

Chen Ken Tui

or

Thunder Mountain Lake

Obviously not necessarily in that order. Have tried entering any combination of chenkentui into the email address.. no fish.

I still dont believe that wed get a rabbit hole with an email sign up box which didnt do anything until comic-con. Also been trying my hand at the random letter string, nada.

Oh also can anyone get a screen capture of the first second of the video when we get the octagon image thing?

Nothing.. boo.

I don't either. But I do think it's likely that they won't pull the trigger on the next step until the finale has aired in all the major markets, and Australia isn't until June 5. (I might be repeating myself, I'm posting on three different sites about all of this, and I'm losing track.)

I have to agree, they will probably wait until the finale has aired everywhere. Plus, next season won't be starting any time soon, so they really don't have to do anything until Comic Con because they have enough time.

Hi everyone, this is my first ARG and i am pretty excited. I am a huge Lost fan, and only found out about TLE afte r it had finished so I am well chuffed to be in on this. Hopefully I dont have to attend comicon to be part of it though, living in Scotland - its not the closest of places to go to!!
Anyway been looking through the posts and I really think that the bunch of letters after dharmainitiave has to be of some importance. I tried taking the all the letters and changing them into numerical values, but couldn't make too much sense of it all (they added to 161), tried entereing a few things into the submission box to no evail.

That's a great point, and no- I don't think you'd posted that here before.

And thanks, JackFrost, for pointing me to the transcripts!

If you think it's intense when absolutely nothing has happened yet....

Oh god... lets take bets on how many people will post something along the lines of "This is my first ARG, I heard about TLE, but was too late to join in, I'm super excited and love LOST!!!"?

I'm gonna go ahead and say at least 5.

[meta]

I've noticed in ARGdom there's a tendency to get a bit snippy on the forums while waiting around for something to happen, and that one snip tends to beget two more snips in return, and so on.

So this is a general plea, not to anyone in particular: While we're talking Lost and waiting around for something to happen, let's try to keep this forum as kind and welcoming as possible. It would be great if this space still had a constructive feel to it as we rolled into the actual game.

The corollary to this, however, needs to be that participants need to read the existing posts here, so we don't endlessly loop through the same information.

EABEJNCHDBEBMPZPPM Suggestion

Someone [Kathy] over at http://octagonglobalrecruiting.blogspot.com/ had a suggestion about the letters on the list of jobs

(the exact link is http://octagonglobalrecruiting.blogspot.com/2008/05/puzzle-hidden-in-list-of-jobs.html)

If we do a substitution cypher and move everything over 1 place
A=Z, B=A etc. you get DZADIMBGCADALOYOOL. She pointed out that Zodiac is one of the words that can be pulled out of this. That struck me because isn't that what the Oceanic 6 went to shore on? A Zodiac boat?

There are tons of other words too, (bad, good, loyal) but I could not find a group of words that made sense and used all the letters.

What do you think?

There's also a curious suggestion here:

http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Octagon_Global_Recruiting#Trivia

Quote:
The remaining letters - EABEJNCHDBEBMPZPPM - spell out "outofandstothereeh" using a monoalphabetic cipher (NSVHPJXMFIQWGCEYRZDBAOKLTU => abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz)
