I appeared to have received the email last night as well - cool catch with the 32 days.

Good to see an update to confirm so far they are focusing on Comic Con, hopefully we will be able to get some more updates before then though to keep interest rolling Smile

I finally got the email. It says the same thing as everyone else.

http://www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/site/emails/0618.html - No longer a 404.

Hmm. It looks like Hans Van Eeghen will be a new character in this ARG. I wonder if it's an anagram or something....

The url for today's message is www.octagonglobalrecruiting.com/site/emails/0618.html , but the e-mail arrived on 6-19. Perhaps this is because March had 32 days.

Or maybe, just maybe, I'm sleep deprived.

Don't know if it's something, but authorized is spelled wrong in the disclaimer at the bottom, twice. It seems odd that it would be done twice. Run with it smarter people!

Sorry to double post, but I replied, about the typos, not to van eeghen, but to the sender, and got another auto reply:

Thank for your interest in Octagon Global Recruiting. We have forwarded your
email through to the appropriate department.

I wouldn't say that 'authorised' is spelled incorrectly. Sometimes a British spelling of a word will replace the 'z' with an 's'.

Fair enough, but I still think it means something. Maybe it has something to do with widmore's dharma connections. It just seems very on purpose, as does all the confidentiality stuff. I wonder what would happen if we could violate the disclaimer...

This appears to refer to a comic book that appeared on Lost - one site has scanned the entire story.

Specifically, "Issue 40, cover dated April 1956 with the cover teaser "What was the secret of the mysterious 'HIDDEN LAND!'", was one of Richard's items presented to John Locke as a test." The fact that it shows up in the meta tags of another recruiting organization, for us, is key, I'd think. (Though, naturally, it could just be boringly related to Comic-Con, being a comic.)

Not sure if this is of interest to anyone, but this website http://makeitsomarketing.tripod.com/popularcultureblog/index.blog/1812812/props-on-latest-lost-tv-show-episode-included/ claims that the comic in question was the first inking the famed Steve Ditko did for Atlas/Marvel comics. The first panel of "March has 32 days" is clearly signed by him.

So it could be more comic related than ARG related. *Shrugs* I don't know.

I just got the same Auto Reply Recruitment Email as well.

That's pretty cool that we're gonna be able to participate even if we don't get a chance to go the ComicCon

Woohoo!!!

I can't wait to try the tests.
