Re query 4815162342: Bluetooth is mentioned in RuckusGuy's source code msg. Check Morbus' post two pages previous for the full msg and welcome to uF. Agree the pixels are forming an Octagon.

At the Dark UFO blog(props Mozzaz for the transpostion solve) there is a supposed comment from RuckusGuy saying:

How much data can be sent through bluetooth? i'd suppose that it depends on the device, huh?

Did I miss something? where was bluetooth mentioned?

He also said to make sure you've got your Bluetooth on and visible – he's rigged up a little something.

That's a hint that anyone attending the Octagon booth at ComicCon 08 should turn on the Bluetooth-enabled device for "a little something". Now, my questions still stand. I'd appreciate it if someone would answer them.

Bluejacking doesn't explain the amount of data that can be transmitted. I'm asking because if Bluetooth can handle large amounts of infomation, then the people behind this ARG might as well send a small video.

sorry, thought that web site would have the info you wanted. according to this website http://www.bluetooth.com/Bluetooth/Technology/Basics.htm
it says that...
Data Rate

1 Mbps for Version 1.2; Up to 3 Mbps supported for Version 2.0 + EDR

thats all I could find googling it. have to get back to work here.. Lisa

Just tested your theory and sent a 30 second video via bluetooth (note: I have a choice of using the "multimedia" method, or "via bluetooth") over my phone. It arrived to my neighbor intact in less than a minute over all. So my response would be, yes, it is possible they will do that.

Hmm. That's quite interesting. i've never used a Bluetooth-enabled device yet, so that's why i asked.

To anyone going to ComicCon 08: make sure you turn on your Bluetooth-enabled devices!!!

There are some pixels hidden in dharmawantsyou.com.

Anyone got an idea what it could be?

Could we be counting down to the Con? 1/8th of the Dharma logo a day?

I'm not going to try to guess at the significance, but here's an image of the bagua as it usually stands, with all of the various meanings of the eight I Ching forms surrounding the center: >click<

It seems like there's a lot of room for interpretation. [/understatement]

Thanks, Sassy! I snatched the fonts for later! I could get really creative with those!

Well, my thought is SHOT! There are no more pixels today... Rolling Eyes but I did add the bagua information from deletia's link. Here's the new pixel pic.

Has anyone checked out the cool ambient techno album from SoLaRis called The Dharma Initiative? Excellent timing on their part...

so, we've got two days left before this begins. Should we make a new thread for the actual game and ComicCon happenings?
