hi everybody! I'm so happy to participate in this, I hope it will be great.
By now I experienced no problems with the site. And my card number (got today) is 84504535266, in case it helps... it seems that all numbers start with 84, but they don't look progressive.

Hi, chiarac. As far as I can tell, you're right about the numbers not being progressive, but I think they all share the first four digits in common, 8450. If anyone knows that to be incorrect, please say so!

Also, just for the record, the comment at breakingpointpannel is, in full:

It just occurred to me, and I apologize if this has been pointed out, but the blogger on that site also had this to say: "Dan read the source code, and keep checking the Ads. One of them is a fake."

Well, what an obvious way to try to make some extra cash from your sponsors. I heartily second the opinions that have come before in saying this: I call shenanigans.

...and: The three card numbers that have been posted each have the same first four digits, 8450, and they also have the same eighth digit, 5:

8450***5***

Whoa whoa! Did I hear someone call shenanigans in here?

Anyway I am in for this. Is it true that no one fails the test?

card numbers

Just a thought, but I'm not sure we should be posting our card numbers. First of all, I was explicitly told at comic con not to- that doing so would "disqualify" me (of course, that could have been an act). Secondly, couldn't that give someone a window into your account? If this is going to end up being competitive, we might not want to give people a way to, say, re-register you and start you over at the beginning.

That's a good point. I refrained from posting my number when I signed up because I figured it was a private number for me and me alone and of no interest to others. Now that others have posted theirs, we're seeing some expected patterns (the first few digits don't change) that we could probably intuit without a sampling of numbers and some unexpected ones (a "5" in the thousands column) that can only be seen with a large enough sample. It's hard to tell what we should be doing with the numbers.

i Did hear one of the Dharma booth ladies telling the people that took the live tests NOT to give out their card number as it would allow others to access their accounts. I'm not sure if that was only for comic con cards though. Also, I saw the number on one of the comic con cards and i'm pretty sure it didn't start with 845. I think it started with something like 0714.

I don't want to post mine, but to save any wandering down roads that may not lead anywhere, I will just say that mine does not fit that pattern at all (again- I registered at comic con, so it makes sense that it's different). It has completely different numbers in all of those columns... I think they are just randomly generated UUID numbers. I could be wrong, but I don't want to risk being disqualified or hacked! Wink

At this point we should just wait until the first test to see the significance of card numbers. I edited my post just in case, although a couple of people have probably written it down for later hacking purposes.

As in Ben's house on the island?

I don't recall the couch or the bookcase in his house, but I guess it could be anywhere on the island.

Although, it seemed as if his wife and child were with him, so I doubt it. Unless they lived on the island as well, 30 years ago.

I always got the impression that Dr. Candle (or whatever his name really is) was off the island and just part of the scientific testing on the main land. Again, this is just my opinion though.

You could be totally right on.

ID numbers

I took the live test at Comic-Con and my ID number starts with a 7, I believe. I will post the first four digits after I get home from work.
