Yeah, it seemed that way. Just makes me wonder what this guy is talking about when he said "portal division". Very weird to me.......

If this is a real company, someone should tell them that putting stuff like that on their site is wrong. Couldn't they get sued by ABC or get in trouble by the BBB (Better Business Bureau)? I mean, it isn't exactly "truth-in advertising" if it isn't truthful...

It seems to me that they are asking for a law suit, but who knows? This is their yellowpages listing
http://www.yellowpages.com/name/CA/dharma-initiative
I imagine that ABC or Disney has the name copyrighted but I don't know. Confused

Edit/I emailed them about their name on the yellowpages and how long they had been in business, this was their response;

DII - the Portal dba Surefit Door has been in Sacramento for 6 years. Other divisions and disciplins have existed longer. I don't know all the details. Is there something I can help you with?

I searched for Dharma Initiative, Inc. with the California Secretary of State:

http://kepler.ss.ca.gov/corpdata/ShowAllList?QueryCorpNumber=C2999798

The registered P.O. box matches the one from surefitdoor.com. It would appear to be legit.

That absolutely screws ABC over. Who wants to start the lawsuit by informing the company?

while it appears surefit doors is OOG, i followed the link to the company that developed it, and found another site they designed with an octagon featured prominently http://www.brandonproctor.com/

99.99% sure that this is a an OOG site. Did you read his bio? Nothing about time travel, or other things figuring into the story, although ABC has a knack to make things go a bit far in terms of making it look non fictional.

I still totally think this blog's OOG, but since I'm here I'll just mention this final line of the link he sent:

ron_bransonSPLAThotmail.com's anagrams quickly to Dan Bronson, who was, of course, the curly-headed ComiCon leaker, and who is probably RuckusGuy.

yet the email addresses return a cannot send error from mailer-demon that says the address is invalid. So if anyone wants to take the email over at hotmail.com its free and open :S

EDIT: to make note if dan bronson is ruckus guy, and he was at comic con and he is Jesse Heiman than how come he had no accent and spoke perfect english after all, the guy in the communication is only learning english. That is a big worry for me with that screw it im waiting for an e-mail from someone

Sorry for the double post; I'm logged in as myself now. Also, please excuse the typo in the last line of my previous post.

...And ditto what luisconceicao said.

There's still the second e-mail addy in that post, but I'm reluctant to try it because it seems to be the address for the person who hosts the parent site, which looks like a real, OOG site.

(edited twice because words aren't my friends today)

That has to be the most petty idea I've ever heard. Yeah, I'm sure a media conglomerate like Disney stands to lost a lot of money because a local door company is footnoting an obscure logo and name from one of its shows. Rolling Eyes

I kind of meant the other way around. The company is officially registered as the Dharma Initiative. Therefore, they can sue. Can't they? Unless the company was formed after Lost.

EDIT: scratch that, the company was filed for in 2007. And just because it's Disney, and they have nothing to lose, doesn't mean they'll be cruel and sue.

Hey guys. ARG virgin here. (Unless Find815 counts)

Has anyone taken a good look at the new Dharma logo? Maybe I'm over-thinking things a bit but I see letters there.

Starting at the 9 o'clock position I see "H" "U" "N" "V"(Maybe) "O" Possibly an "I" and then a "V" or an "N" depending on the rotation.

I tried to anagram a few combinations but came up with nothing.
(In English anyway)

As I said, maybe it's nothing but I thought it merited attention.

Dharma Initiative Inc., the parent company of ...
DBA SureFit Doors ...

filed 5/29/2007 ... well after the conception of Jabramz & Co.'s Department of Heuristics And Research on Material Applications.

Tho the words Dharma & initiative have both been around, along with the bagua (or) , since well before even JJ himself - lol

Shoulda known - nothing on the Island's fiberblass, 'cept Dez' sailboat.
I'm really dissapointed that someone would legally file such a name for a
business, and offer every possible door combo except blast doors & hatches.

Weak ...
