Symbolically "the Earth Mountain is gone, leaving Water and Sky in its place" is very clever, but can they keep that sort of thing up seamlessly? If it were a marker for, say, alternate timelines, the straight bagua has 8 rotations and their mirror images plus two traditional orders (the "primal' or pre King Wen order, and the modern or post King Wen order) -- it's hard to imagine using all 32 variants in 32 episodes!

Did anybody notice this? Because I totally didn't. Good find, Orpheus!

Yeah I totally missed that. Though I am pretty excited by how much there is to pick up, more than just what is being explained to us Smile

Hay guyz, whuts happening in dis thread?

Wow it's been a long time since I was last here, heh. Here's hoping they make it more of an international ARG than the others, I really want to get involved again. Though reading more about the whole thing, I'm concerned that it's going to be more a series of minigames that test us in different tasks rather than a fully fledged ARG, but one can hope for the latter...

we will have to wait and see. I would love a deciphering ARG or site hopper. Obviously it has to be accesible to people as it is a very popular show buit they could still have the simple timewaster DWY and perhaps a more deeply involved arg for those that choose to take part in it. Kind of like a difficulty setting in video games. Sure you can put easy on and run past everyone and finish the game but you can also put it on hard and look for all the easter eggs and take a different approach to the game and do the side missions Wink. I hope that ARGs for popular shows or perhaps for the masses include this form of parrallel marketing model in the future as i think it would be a smash success Smile

This is regarding the "Confirmed Dead" episode. Most people refer to the introductions of the 4 new characters as "flashbacks". I think they are flashFORWARDs....in a weird sense.

Harking to the Dharma reel where the guy tells us that if the numbers of the formula are changed, then the outcome of the future will be changed. The whole "reconstitution" of the Dharma Initiative makes me think the "new recruits" are going back in time to try and change the outcome of the present. If they are successful, where the plane crashes could be different (Faraday crying at seeing the "what viewers thinks is a fake" plane found underwater), the pilot could be different (no ring), etc. And in changing the events, could there not be residual effects that might need to be cleaned up? (Miles' "exorcism" when the picture frames change from dumpy to nice.) I took the pictures changing to be a "physical" confirmation that yes, now that the money is gone (perhaps a footprint from the first time around) things are as they should be with the change. To me the shot of the tattered frame spoke of the reality of this woman struggling to raise a grandson that was in and out of trouble....while the second, nicer grouping of frames told of an easier life. When Miles removed the residue of the first round of time, things changed to what they would be if this woman hadn't had such a struggle.

It seems to me in the storyline the "spiritual world" knows what's going on and is working to that end as well. It would certainly explain the otherwise completely baffling disappearance of Claire.

To me, the whole changing of Ben's logo was a hint at what was coming up...the "reconstitution" of Dharma, and their subsequent travel back in time. Therefore I expect flashes of this type of thing to pop up in this game. I don't think it's a clue from which we need to derive our next move, I think it's more of a directional confirmation.

Sassy, I completely LOVE your theory. It really makes sense to me, and I think that most of our job as viewers (maybe not as players) will now be to place pieces of sotries in the correct moment in time (and in the correct dimension, or branch).

This is an extremely good theory... particularly when you take into account Lost: Via Domus.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
At the end of Via Domus, you're taking a boat out to sea to escape the island, only to have the Swan implode and the sky turn purple. You then see the plane crashing on the island again and it fades to black, where you wake up on the beach in a different place than where you did at the start of the game, and your girlfriend-who you had killed in the first story-runs over to you to see if you are alright... roll credits.

Same here!
I'm hoping for an update tonight (8:15 PST?). If it is similar to the Find815 game it's going to be a Monday/Friday thing. And they did say it was going to be a weekly test and it's been a week.
Ugh, I don't know, I'm just getting antsy for it. Mr. Green

I predict a delayance.

It took them an extra day to launch a simple site with barely any features bar a snazzy entrance video and stupid Powerpoint-ish quiz.

I feel pretty confident that we will get something today. They were not REALLY late. It was like a few mins before 12. I want to think that this is all a part of something bigger

Much in agreement with the above comments, my hope is that the "volunteers assessment" begins shortly so that we all can begin to assess for ourselves some details about (new)Dharma and this "secret project".

Accordingly, asked a German uFer(props Der Fiese Friese) to take another listen to the german sentence in the "bluetooth"vid. His translation is: "displacments in the space-time continuum". Got me wondering about exactly for what are we happily volunteering?.... Rolling Eyes

And so I predicted it, and so it came true.

Why can't they hire some decent developers who can do this stuff in time?

EDIT: Then again, nothing was ever officially mentioned so we don't know if it was supposed to be done last night.

I guess when they say "weekly" they mean "sometime in the week". I hope that if this is just a series of tests that they can get on a schedule. I'd imagine that if so, it should be pretty automated. The devs shouldn't have much (if anything) to really do.

And that is why I also predict that this game will completely fail. From what I hear, 815 was boring. Obviously they're trying to minimize the amount of clues, and have gone far too far to the point of not doing anything at all. O.o
