Not sure why the "good luck" message was repeated in a meta tag as an alert. I've never done this with comments before. Seemed a little odd to me (though I'm clueless as to what it would mean). Also note that if you click on the link from your email, it posts your e-mail address in the address bar- a way of tracking of which of us actually goes to this page for source code sniffing purposes? Maybe the game is that we will end up being "recruited" against Dharma by whoever is on the inside? Just a thought. Wink

Indeed, although at first I thought it was a way to get past the username and password.

Dont know. cause you can still access it if you delete the "email=" part of it so i agree, I think it is a tracker of sorts. though i dont know code very well so i dont know if that is possible

On the bottom of the letter it says if you have trouble reading this "click here". This morning it asked for a name and password but i just opened it again and the letter came right up. (I was on AOL but didn't have this problem with g-mail.)

"If you can't view the images in this email please click here"

Which is why we suggest SPOILER tag for PUZZLE solves. But you need to specific what PUZZLE you are spoiling. A spoiler without an explanation is wasted spoiler. Confused

One shouldn't spoil discussion/meta/questions. If you want an answer to a question or someone to participate in a discussion, then you should leave the content out in the open (unless it is information Behind the Scenes or about a plot point in a tv or movie that not everyone has seen yet).

For example. "When you get the email, click on the link and look in the source." Then spoiler the result only. Cool

But think twice before spoilers - ask yourself "if I want to solve a puzzle myself, what would I want someone else to cover up, and how would I want it to be identified so I don't look behind that curtain until I'm totally stumped.

Also ask yourself, does everything need to be repeated (all the nested quotes) when you respond to a specific item in someone's post? Wink

As part of the security upgrade, future emails can't be accessed without password and username.

I don't get why everyone's saying they got the username and password. They haven't. They just guessed it. They never checked, as the password restriction lifted when they guessed that.

Ok, well I suppose one would have had to RECEIVE said email before one could attempt to access future files with a username and password.

ok i'm going to risk trout, simply because i don't want to read 66 pages of forum discussion... please forgive me in advance...

has anyone discussed the fact that the logo on the dharmawantsyou page (the main symbol that keeps spinning, breaking apart, and reforming as you click on things)... did anyone think it looks like letters? It looks like a font to me... maybe i'm just late to the game.

Yes, the logo is just a stylized/modernized version of the old logo. Not letters. The breaks match up to the openings on the old logo, but rotated (I think 1/4th).

Interesting, but this is not a quote of something I said.
