 [INFO] List of Translators

Trying to get a list of people who are doing the translations from other languages (specifically those who are speakers/writers and not bot-translators)

Since this forum is English, I'm just listing the X -> English trans, rather than the X -> Y Trans (e.g. Portugese -> Chinese)

Having a unified list here allows to thank/credit all the people at one time, and, more importantly, gives us the "go to" list when we have translations that need to be done, and they aren't always around. Maybe even contacting them via off-forum means.

I'll edit the master list as more people pipe in with the "I'm translating X language", and as I scrape them from other posts.

EDIT - stickied and changed tag - SG Smile

I know just enough French to understand what has been written if given time. Usually I get a robo translation and then refer to the original text when things get confusing to make it more clear. I'm also actively working on brushing up my French, which is actually much stronger then my "Spanglish". I'm on Pacific time.

When you've got your list at a good place Weezel, could you update the Language Resource on the Wiki?

You betcha...This is an international ARG afterall!! So the question becomes how much other language stuff do we put in the Wiki? I mean, should I do the non-English translations of the podcasts too? (easy since its subtitled). Or do we leave alternate language speakers to start/run their own resources?

My thought is that we add as much as possible, but don't guarantee that it's up there.. We can't really translate every Wiki page but if in-game resources have multi language stuff, we should try and archive that.

I dunno how easy or hard this would be, but AltaVista Babelfish has a page translator that you can tuck into the code of your website that will robotranslate whatever is there into another language:
http://www.altavista.com/help/free/free_searchbox_transl

Might help with the wiki for international peeps Smile

Esperanto group

There is a group of Esperanto-speakers that have organized at this URL: http://groups.google.com/group/tlrp that are prepared to help with translation of texts.

I'm from Germany, and I speak Japanese and Russian.
Since here are my friends from Germany, I'd let them translate German, so see me as Japanese and Russian translator (there weren't any Russian contents, but who knows...)
