hey, my name is justin, and i just posted earlier under the username "eueic". i've browsed around here for a while, and recently got into cloverfield, so i made an account.

i wasn't sure who this was at first, because i never knew that michael posted here.

michael was one of my four roommates in my apartment for the past few months. i just found out after my post what had happened today. a friend of mine named jason is the one who brought him to the hospital. i saw a message from an admin talking shit about IP addresses? are you honestly so fucking cynical? he was always with his friends. i barely knew him, he just came recommended as someone who could pay rent. and we all were always out, and didn't see much of eachother. i didn't know shit about the guy, and now that i know he was so active on here, and that he was "porrphyrhia", i feel shitty for my earlier post.

so, talk shit about the IP address. he was using the desktop at the apartment. i'm sorry for the loss, but it's hard to believe the admins here would be so insensitive and cynical. for fuck's sake, people. not everything is a joke. i got an email had my account deactivated, and jason mentioned that michael's account can't be logged in to.

the good wishes are kind, but a shout-out to the admins: grow up.

It is possible and a reasonably plausible (even common) situation that people sharing an apartment would share an internet connection, and thus all have the same IP.

The truth will sort itself out, certainly.

Keep in mind unFiction is not in control of this "ARE".
They are in control only of this forum. It is their discretion to perform such a name change. If the administration of the ARE were to acknowledge the death of a fan, I'm sure they would first confirm that person's death of course. I doubt that's likely, as I'm sure there are other fans who have died since the film and viral campaign came out.
