well ive been a lurker here since i saw the trailer about a week after transfomers but i signed up to addd in my 2 cents

albeit i never knew him i stilll remember all of his jokes and avatars
he was a gerat person and you guys gave him a good run and now I
can only hope this is joke however if not then may he and mr. grumpy pants be feasting and drinking booze as much as posssible up there
with all o the other arg fans who died and are seeing cloverfield 2
before it comes out.....
So therefore my best wishes to his friends family and this forum
for without him it seems in complete.

I don't really know who this guy is. Like I said in the other thread, I signed up the other day and didn't think I'd come across something as depressing as this. I don't even know the guy but it's nice of everyone, at least to send their condolences. Whether it be real or not, be courteous, not an a**.

But, if you guys think this is a joke, go and get a moderator to do an IP check on the OP. This will narrow down the activity. Chris mentioned something about using his account due to his friend's wishes, or something along those lines. But if he is still using his account, then he wouldn't have the same static IP (i.e. using the computer from his house). That makes sense, and it's worth a try since everyone seems to be so hell-bent on getting to the bottom of this.

Still, sending out my condolences and whatnot. Sorry for the news, man.

The IP wouldn't be much use, because if this was a roommate on a shared internet connection the IP would be the same. If it was one person doing all the posting, it would also be the same. Thus, such information is plausible and reasonable in both cases and inconclusive. Basically the only confirmation we'd have of the death is an obituary, which nobody has yet provided. A single foreign national might not get an obit though. If a family member follows up with all the details of closing a deceased person's accounts to the point of taking care of online registrations, and they for some reason didn't have their credential to complete such a process, they'd need to provide proof of relationship and of the death of the account holder - basically a death certificate. Most people don't bother to close a dead person's online accounts though.

yeh i guess u got a point man. I had to take a day off to just cool my jets n stop ranting at anyone who i thought was talkin shit in response to my posts about all this crap. So my bad about assuming that you meant to offend. And same goes to anyone else who i may have attacked misguidedly, It's been a fucked up couple of days ever since i read this thread, and i am sorry. Until we can find out for sure what the hell really happened, ie : an obituary, or mikkel coming back on to tell us that his friend is an asshole and did all of this as a joke - im just gonna chill out on the lashing out at people because of all of this shit. That is, unless another piece of shit comes to the surface of the bowl like slusho or supercooze. If that happens im gonna go - how did euchre put it? - oh yeah, bat shit insane.

btw - has anybody done a search on the obits in his area yet? even if his body got flown back to his homecountry there would still be an obituary in the US papers reguarding his death. any death that goes through a United States hospital or mortuary comes with an obituary or at least a notice of death in the newspaper within a week of his death. I'll do a quick check myself but if anybody that is better sourced than i am wants to do a check also, it would be much appreciated.

Ok, i just did a Death Record search. Rather than an obituary search, which would take a few days for something to come back, seeing as how it could be up to two weeks before an actual obit is posted in the newspapers, a Death Record search has the most up to date records of death in any state within the last 48 hours. I did a search for the state of Georgia, which is where Mikkel was staying, and no results came back whatsoever. I even played around with the spelling of his name, just to be sure, and no death records came back for one Mikkel Saalvog. Now, im not dismissing this thing entirely, but i think that its pretty safe to say that porry aint dead, and this is some fucked up joke played on us at his expense. I really cant wait for him to get back on here to tell us who the hell it was that did all this bullshit, and he better kick the shit out of the guy for each and every one of us. Even if he were taken out of the country for his funeral, there would still be an account of his death and a certified record of it in the United States database. Even if he were an immigrant with no Social Security number, there would still be a record of death. Im pretty damn relieved personally. I never thought i would be happy to find out something was a lie..
