Seems like he was but no more judging by his twitter : http://twitter.com/kaitown

Or do you have to take the Oath as well?
Just do it anyway, more proof of your will to join Theo is better than less (and as a side note, every video including a beautiful girl is a video that should be made )

Wow. I do feel biased here.
On one hand, those Theo missions mean getting involved in new activities, doing something. I can understand James's motivation, and I surely can identify with some of the ethical considerations that have been brought up in connection with TheO - which remind me of the discussion about the theodicy problem in the 17th and 18th century ("Why is there evil in the world?" - one possible solution is the "compensation hypothesis": There must be evil in our world, so that other worlds can bee free from evil and happy!).
On the other hand, all this hierarchy and secrecy makes me deeply suspicious as well. "I need to move up in the ranks of Theo"? Good heavens. Would it surprise me if Eli Hunt turned out to be the head of TheO in the end?
I don't know whom to trust anymore.
Would an uninitiation compromise me for any future agonothetai activities? Will I miss important events and information if I don't get uninitiated - or if I do?

I would say that IF the words of Theo oath make sense to you, you probably should try and join us.
If not, then keep your decision for a later time.
If you really feel an urge to do something, well, you could...
- do a list of reason for and against theo, add a nice layout and publish here.
- do the same but on video.
- solve the whole pan-cosmologizer thing (you'll get lot of credits for this, no one seems to know what to do with it )
- have a nice and long chat with me, that way i can easily show you why my side is the only right side

This happened while James was being interrogated by our SF team. When they confronted him, he was on the phone to some TheO person, and he said to the person, "I've been compromised." After the team got James duct-taped to the chair, Kai said he was going to go downstairs and make sure no one else came upstairs. Later we found out that while James was being interrogated, walking his labyrinth, and so on, Kai was being abducted. James said he could fix the situation with a couple phone calls, and we later found out he did indeed.

Why have you done the Theo Oath? Have I overlooked something.
As as I understood the new email, first we need at least 27 people doing the unintiating mission than we will get information about the next mission.
As far as I know we have 2 people that have performed (as a team) the first mission. So 25 to go.
I even do not know if there are so many people playing this arg more regularly (at least I think we will end up all as TheOrists
[UPDATE] regarding the wiki there are already 3 teams (6 persons) completed the first mission: RiotGrrl / MauroKing, Khaos / Runeix, Kieran / June
so ony 19 to go

So it's the uninitiation mission that counts toward the 27? It seemed like he was asking for 27 new people. I haven't submitted mine yet, and I was worried that it was too late! I think I'll write and ask...

We have to think worldwide there may be people who aren't part of the UF community or the wiki.
But I'm feeling the pain... it kinda feels like there aren't alot of participants in the multimedia creation stuff...
She did a Theo oath because they responded to her email about completion saying that she needed to take the oath.
Maybe she can post the contents of that email for the archives, if no one else has gotten it.

As a answer of my question :
Quote:
What task should the new members do : The desynch task with partner ? Videotape theo's oath ? both ?
Just got this answer from Theo (James)
Quote:
I'll need both from each member of each two person team.
So to be one the 27, you need to do BOTH the desynch task (and get approved) and videotape Theo's oath.

Just for your information, I received the following email from James, after I have written that my partner has not done her task, yet:
James/TheO wrote:
You will be counted as one of our proven members. You should, however, encourage your partner to complete her mission as well.
But I have never been asked to take the oath!

As i see it :
- Doing the desynch prove you're a theo member.
- Doing the desynch + the oath, prove you're worthy to be one of the 27 (a step up in the theo hierarchy)

RiotGrrl and I sent our prooves of loyalty so I asked James if we were approved as members of TheO. I also asked how many members are there... he answered:
Quote:
Approved. Thank you.
I have 16 possible recruits at this time, but only 7 have completed uninitiation, and only 4 have completed the Oath. I will need all members of all teams to complete both.
Then I asked him if TheO had something to do with the recent Spain incidient:
Quote:
As for the postcards in Spain, I don't know anything about them. There are Theo members everywhere though, so it certainly could be one of our other groups. I would like to know more about this. See what you can find out. Has anyone emailed Monica directly?

I also had a conversation with James saying the same thing:
James wrote:
Everyone who has been un-initiated so far will be included in my 27 (it doesn't have to be exactly 27, there can always be more!).

Do you want to form a team with me, or do you already have a partner? I am in Sweden at the moment, but will be back home in Germany this weekend.
