They stole my idea of "underground locations" from my thread regarding the creation of a Cloverfield amusement ride!

This doesn't make any sense. Perhaps the people suggesting this didn't see Hud's footage, which clearly shows an object fly up, crash into the statue, and knock the head off. It also shows the monster moving past the Woolworth building right before it collapses, which is just seconds after the Liberty head hits the street. Which means the monster wasn't anywhere near the statue when it lost its head, and that it either threw or otherwise caused the object to fly up and smack the statue.

I don't have the Blu-ray, so maybe someone who owns it can tell me where the dot representing the monster on the map is when the statue loses its head.

This dude must have HUD's camera or somethin, cuz we didnt catch that in the final cut of the footage. Either that or he had one too many doobie smacks before he went n bought the dvd.

FAIL.

WHAT THE HECK are you talking about???

He apparently is misreading the scene with the SoL head, thats all. Sonam, what Hud's footage shows is the SoL head flying into frame from the the left, striking the building and then richocheting down into the street by our heroes. The actual SoL is nowhere in the shot. The head does not come from the SoL's direction, indicating clover had it in his hand/mouth/sucky thing for awhile before chucking it.

Anybody noticed that while the monster struck at 12:45, Beth got to her place at 12:50? After having Manhattan jolt from a tremor followed by a brief power outage, why would she continue to head up to her dad's place 5 minutes later? I would expect that everybody would be outside or leaving their apartments to get down into the streets and find out what all the commotion is about. Much like the power outage of 2003 when helicopter footage showed everyone leaving their offices and homes.

Also I'd just like to add that just because the bluray says "see amateur footage 283283 for LSA eating horses" or whatever doesn't mean it will be on the sequel. Remember that in the movie itself we see multiple people using their cameras or phones to record the event. That doesn't mean the sequel will be nothing but stitched together videos from different angels. I think fans are taking it too seriously when Reeves elaborated on the idea of taking a sequel from the point of view of the other camera guy seen on the Brooklyn Bridge. That was just an idea Reeves threw out there -- one I highly doubt will be taken.

Take note that while Beth went home, Rob and company responded by going UP onto their roof. The whole party. They did not take to the streets until things started raining down from the sky.

Now there's an exceptionally ironic typo. Cool

Although trying to read what you were attempting to say hurts my head, i'm pretty sure he and you are in agreeance. Why you chose to pull the bs flag is beyond me.

well the b.s. flag was for the monster eating the horses video we wont see in the next film but with what i have said earlier, they wont do a sequel in the found-footage style the first movie had. it will be completely useless to talk about a new idea and then turn around and say that the sequel will be done the same thing as before...found footage shaky cam style of a move it will just pointless
