 		Sorry for this post. But I was 10 days on holiday Cool and probably missed something.

Can somebody tell me how to login the clients area on www.orumax.com ?

And concerning the word "Esmeralda": In the letter forum "Banco Orum AX" (ORUMAX???)

the name "Esmeralda" is a name for a boat or ship (craft) that landed in San Antonio harbour in 1938.

The year 1938 seems to be very important in the story, because there appear more and more documents from that year. Even the newspaper, that Elisabeth found under her bed (remember? Wink ) was from that year.

Banco Orum AX, or if I'm not mistaken, the Orum AX Bank, is located at the Talstrasse in Zurich. I tried to google for a bank in that Talstrasse, but couldn't find anything. The street does exist, tho.

Here is a text version of the log as best as I could make it out:

We embarked at dawn. The calm sea is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it means the poor sailors like Salvador and Raoul will not whine about their stomachs, but a curse - France's fleet is tiny and over-stretched, but if we are stopped it means not just the end of our mission but for some of us perhaps eve the end of our lives. The week-old newspapers we bought last night aren't helping the mood. The talk is of Czechoslovakia and of war. Who knows? Perhaps the catastrophe has already begun? If those madmen among my compatriots knew that the leading lights of degenerate art were aboard this rickety ship floating in hostile waters helpless... well, it's not worth thinking about.

Antonio is keeping everyone's spirits up. He's been drinking absinthe since we left prot but it doesn't seem to affect him. Even with the sight of a frigate on the horizon he remained calm (Salvador set up a wailing that could probably have been heard all the way to Valencia(?). Only Antonio could have brought all these people together and there is only one man I trust to see us to Ibiza and back safely. He says that we are protected, and I believe him. Are we all fools?

The time has passed quickly - Salvador has been telling us the most disgusting stories (the man has a sewer for a brain) and Raoul, Joan Hannah, Andre, Frida(?) ride and the others have been playing their nonsensical games, Max takes his picture and Luis has been vomiting over the sides.

In a few hours we will land. Antonio sits and gazes out to sea. Not looking for patrols like the others, but waiting for a sight of The White Island. Who knows what awaits us!

At least we have a friend there.

In my opinion the writer (Adolf Schulten, i guess) is describing the return to ibiza in october 1938 on a ship or boat named "Esmeralda" The return of Antonio Perleamo was also mentioned on www.antonioperleamo.com. :

"Some historians believe he renounced art altogether after 1936 and settled in one of the Nordic countries, while a local legend has it that he returned, once again, in 1938 but was never seen again."

But the question is: What was the meaning of this return of this artist-group to the white island? Rolling Eyes

Any suggestions from you guys?

Might not be the first time - the one of Tiefschwarz on the Green Chrysanthemum site and in the 10 Days Off section on the blog are identical to the one I posted here. Smile

I have tried to alter the colour and contrast of the letter about "esmerelda" docking in San Antonio Harbour in October and I can just about make out some letters! Has anybody else tried this or is it just my eyes wanting to see something?

Aarghh, how do you upload images on this forum??? Crying or Very sad [/img]

I've tried some enhancement as well. The first couple for sure my eyes see possible letters, but nothing I've been able to make out yet. The last large block however I don't see anything.

As for uploading, use the IMG tag with images stored elsewhere using the image's http address. You can also upload an image with your post using the "Add an Attachment" option that is in the Option box (upper left) when you are composing a message. Not sure if guests can add attachments though.

(yes, tomorrow it's my bday buy me presents! : D!)

Another guess (haven't had time to really dig into it), is that you can win a stay in the Pikes hotel, thus relating it to The White Island, and earning a spot in the 5th puzzle.

I also tried putting that letter in Photoshop to see what's under the black marker and although I could just see some letter looking things I could read it at all.
