Jackson Rake's Journal

There was a space on BSP that was similar that was throwing me off. How did you find the journal Timestalker? Random or did you find the link someplace?

Remember me, anyone? I was the "King Of Baboon Politics," with a soap box and a tiny little personal PA system? I had a bullhorn too, and I kept talking about how, "I believe in electricity. I BELIEVE in cheap cosmetics. I BELIEVE in the strip mall." Anyway, it was a blast, as always. Much love to all my brothers from The Plastic Family.

I read the last item from Orion regarding Jack's journal, and when it said there was no "space in his vinyl pants". I made the connection that if there was "no space" then it wasn't a myspace blog, but that it could be a livejournal. I searched livejournal using the name "vinylpants" (with no space) and came up with that.

Also, while the lovely Angelsdemise was looking at the sources for some of the pages she came across a phone number hidden in one of the pages.

(206) 424-6064

http://www.silverladder.com/summer/test.htm

We called it, but it said it was "This is an inactive Lazer Voicemail Account"

Maybe it's just me but it seems like Orion referencing to a lot of songs.

Again maybe I'm being paranoid but so far I've heard Orion say things similar to:

"The Man Who Sold the World" by David Bowie
"Shape of my Heart" by Sting
"Revolution 9" by the Beatles
"Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen (covered by Jeff Beck)

Also I skimmed over the blog satims found and Jack references to "Dr. Robert" by the Beatles in the newest blog.

EDIT: Oh and since no one has mentioned it.

Jack Rake is DEAD: http://vinylpants.livejournal.com/

EDIT 2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_code_206

I'll post the email later but it appears that Orion used to go by the name Ellis.

Actually, if you look just above the message about his death, you'll notice this:
Quote:

somewhere somehow someone is laughing

08:31pm 12/12/2003

it's all been greatly exaggerated, children.

-the plastic one

Referencing Mark Twain's "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

**kick's self**

How do I miss these things?

Although I did find this! Very Happy

It's a comment left on the "greatly exaggerated post".

Title of one of the journal entries "We were all Voodoo" a reference to "Ziggy Stardust" by David Bowie.

EDIT:

By the way, since no one mentioned it, J.R.'s journal is different than the one on BSP.

Alright I'm not sure if this is going in the right direction and I wanted to verify before posting this but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen but in the LJ by Jackson Rake a lot of people posted comments on the announcement of his death. They claimed they knew him personally and most of them were under anonymous but one isn't. In his profile I found his screen name and contacted him through AIM. I'm gotten nowhere because the person claims that JR wouldn't want the details to be known but I'm not sure if the guy has anything to do with this in the first place.... Although his first reaction was odd:

Him: Hi
Me: Quick question. Who is Jackson Rake?
Him: A dead man. Who are you? Why do you want to know about jack?

After that he didn't seem too suspicious and he's been busy getting conference calls and driving around to talk so I've been waiting for a more opportune time to contact him, although I did find out that he (the guy I'm talking to, not JR) lives in Southern Cali, probably LA.

EDIT: My bad, it's a chick. And she has tattoos.

EDIT 2: By the way, the definition of Rake is a dissolute or profligate person, esp. a man who is licentious; roué. Synonyms include libertine. Why hasn't it occured to me before that he's using a fake name?

Yes, yes I did

I fooled them all. I fooled everyone. I needed to. I needed to get away.

Did the alarm startle you? Did it upset people?

Oh yes! It's caused quite a ruckus. Many people have had their feathers ruffled by it. Now that you've caused a stir, do you think you could turn it off?

Very well then. I will send out a cancellation request. These things
