I'll try and sketch a little something tonight. How much time do you estimate you'll have or want to spend on the labyrinth?

Redfern is not the safest place for a young white guy by himself.

there were race riots ther a few years ago! Masoct is probably the best place cause thats where my dad works

What about Sydney park? Can you run around in there?

I haven't yet succeeded in getting a design approved for Sydney.

Arrow The trackstick does not work at all well in the middle of Sydney (especially around Pitt St). It would have been nice to have a design centered around Centerpoint Tower (where the artifact was found), but the trackstick will not record enough points for a labyrinth design.

I have a 4 circuit design for Mascot, but I have not sent it to Eli yet. It is 4.7km long, so can be done on foot.

While I like bryan's design, I would also feel uncomfortable walking through parts of Redfern.

My recent design and why Eli Hunt did not like it.

I believe you need to continue working on your labyrinth design.

If you look at a 5-circuit design, you will notice that the center is
surrounded by more labyrinth than yours. In your current design, the
center is practically outside the labyrinth! That wouldn't be very
hard to escape, now would it? You should add circuits around the
bottom to better protect the center.

Additionally, unevenly spaced circuits may not be effective. Note how
your third circuit is very regular, but your fourth circuit is wildly
uneven. To be a truly effective labyrinth, all circuits need to be
nearly as regular as the third currently is.

Please persevere in your effort to success in this mission! I look
forward to your next labyrinth design.

sincerely yours,

Eli Hunt
I'm finding it hard to locate a better Sydney location which will yield a labyrinth that is not wildly uneven as the longest streets within city limits tend to have skyscrapers on them.

runeix, while I would also like to meet up with other players (there don't seem to be many of us in Australia) I'm going into hospital soon, so I might be unable to meet up.

jasper, I don't remember going to Sydney Park before, but it looks safe enough to run around in there.

Question: Where exactly does Sydney end? It's hard to see any city limits on Google Maps ...

That is hard to answer. Basically I don't know.

I would consider Penrith to be a part of western Sydney.
I think that if you reach Katoomba, Campbelltown or Woy Woy, you are probably outside the city limits.

The City of Sydney council has this map which I would consider to be the southern part of the inner city.

Suggestion on the areas that has many buildings or skyscrapers that will affect the signal, I suggest holding the trackstick on your hand with the globe markings facing the sky, then raise your arm up as far as you could while walking. And trace the path slowly during the turns and curves and if possible check the trackstick for at least one green blink before making a turn and often while doing the curves. Mascot has Omphalabyrinth potential Very Happy !
I'll try to make another one in there.

Oh, what a pity ... According to that map, the area I had fallen in love with for a labyrinth (albeit an imperfect one!) is out of city limits. But this seems true for Mascot as well - ? How about Paddington?

The map I posted is only a tiny piece of the center of Sydney. The area you like is Bondi, which is definitely considered to be in Sydney. Your design is wonderfully wobbly. Smile

Mascot is where the Sydney airport is located. I do not consider it to be outside city limits.

following bryanflurry's advice.

hers is a small labyrinth for centenial park.

its 3.27 strength.

and ive already sent the desgin to Eli for aproval.

this should be a nice short walk which will also bring the strength up.
I Hope that if anyone has contacts in sydney (or themselves of course) that they contact me so that we can start to get a bigger player base in Australia.

Matt.
