Any idea what it says on the green binding at top of tablet?

***insert: "Run it under a black light" here*** haha

This may be worthless in the long run, but if you modulus all the numbers by 26 and convert numbers to letters, you get:
Quote:
R U F P G B
J N R A V K
T B F S G P
O W R A R O
S I H N E Q
I I F U S M
D G G R D T
Y U D R Z G
O T P D C U
E M S J O Q
M Y A D Q L
D B H B H E

On IRC, we were thinking that it was supposed to be read top to bottom (the columns). So, it would be:

Code:

44 36 98 67 19 35 30 25 67 83 13 56
21 14 28 49 87 09 85 73 72 65 51 54
84 18 06 96 34 32 33 82 42 71 53 60
16 79 19 01 66 73 44 70 82 62 04 28
33 22 59 18 31 45 56 78 55 15 17 60
02 63 42 67 17 91 98 33 99 17 12 05

That should be a 19, in 3rd column.

So it was 88 (not 83)

44 21 84 16 33 02
36 14 18 79 22 63
98 28 06 19 59 42
67 49 96 01 18 67
19 87 34 66 31 17
35 09 32 73 45 91
30 85 33 44 56 98
25 73 82 70 78 33
67 72 42 82 55 99
88 65 71 62 15 17
13 51 53 04 17 12
56 54 60 28 60 05

Anyone having any luck with it?

Code:
44+36+98+67+19+35+30+25+67+88+13+56 = 578
21+14+28+49+87+09+85+73+72+65+51+54 = 608
84+18+06+96+34+32+33+82+42+71+53+60 = 611
16+79+19+01+66+73+44+70+82+62+04+28 = 544
33+22+59+18+31+45+56+78+55+15+17+60 = 489
02+63+42+67+17+91+98+33+99+17+12+05 = 546

No idea if that'll help or not.

42 - twice
44 - twice
56 - twice
60 - twice
67 - 3 times
73 - twice
82 - twice
98 - twice

The 43 numbers that are missing from the 1-99 range are:
3,7,8,10,11,20,23,24,26,27,29,37,38,39,40,41,43,46,47,

I had a crazy idea, and it didnt pan out. But just so no one else wastes their time, here are the numbers as a greyscale image!

The numbers are in there as hex values because that was easiest for me, but that shouldnt matter - it still wouldnt look like anything.

I really like the color idea. Jess kept mentioning how her dreams were in color. Omega, you were good at doing the RGB stuff for Red Loyola, maybe you can see if this is similar?

Here is the first two lines, and I have no idea how to explain this, and even worse, no idea what to do with it if we do change it all to RGB colors.

R G B
214 202 169 (D6CAA9)
5 4 3 (050403)
46 46 39 (2E2B27)
149 161 125 (95A17D)

My other thought is just a Bifid (sp?) cipher.....a really big one to include 99 letters?

Wouldn't color matter? This is what I got converting the numbers into hex triplets (#AABBCC)

Just another idea not to try:

I converted the numbers to ASCII then put them into a file named test.enc and tried to import it into the encryptor.

Didn't work. "Invalid key"

How about this - convert to binary and see if it looks like ASCII art?
EDIT
Meh, don't really see anything.

MORE ideas to not try. Smile

The mention of bifid gave me an idea. A 10x10 chart would be tough to regenerate given such a small set of data, but maybe it would draw a cool picture! Nope.

Well, going with that idea, maybe they are coordinate pairs, and it'd draw something! Nope.

Oh well.
