 		So quick wiki searches shows that Orcus is both a Roman god of the dead and a planet type...thing.

 		Well, given the conversation, I'd say that the Orcus object in space is probably a good jumping off point. Apparently, it's been recently discovered that the Orcus object has a satellite object orbiting it.

The article you were directed to mentions the CARET document. I'm not inimate with it, but I have read a little about it, and as far as I know it's been proven to be fake. Perhaps that may be another lead?

 		Slipspace malfunction
Halo???
The slipspace thing in the conversation struck me as odd so I started looking into the term. Apparently, slipspace is a sort of alternate universe existing in parallel to our own in the Halo series. Perhaps this is an indie ARG taking place in the Halo universe???
