[City Labyrinth] Manila, Philippines

Being the only one in my area, I guess it's time to suck it up and be a man!

Here's my proposed city labyrinth location for Manila, Philippines:

And the path:

Path1

Googlemap

Path2
Googlemap

With the limited resources that I have, I think I'd have to do it alone and by foot! It is big enough, doing it by foot is hard but possible, it's near where I live, it covers a majority of Taguig city and it's within Manila. I might check out the area later to see if the road paths are accessible, the google earth map is quite outdated.

I need to consult with you guys before I send this to Kai, what do you think?

edit: added the googlemap link and an alternate route; path2.

Thanks Kona! Very Happy And I hope you understand if I'm not able to visit my virtual office and earn my schrutebucks these past few days Very Happy

How do we trace the path?
Is the starting point from the outside then going in? or Inside - going out?
or we have to do both?

1. it's always starting on the inside and working outwards.
2. no more shrutebucks can be earned this summer. DMI 1.0 is 'over' and we start summer fun June 5th (supposedly group activities so DMI Elizabeth will need you).

Wow, I like it. But I can not judge the size. Does it fulfill the minmal requirement? Is it at least 3 stadia wide?

1 stadia is about 185 m.
Your lab is about 1 km (0,7 Miles) wide.

Which would be 5.5 Stadia Smile

BTW: Have you already applied for a trackstick from Kai?

Yes, that would be cool too see all of the Ompalabyrinths, I guess Kai will whip out something, speaking of Kai, I mailed him awhile ago, if he gives me the go signal then I would apply for a trackstick. I'm so excited Smile
Thanks Kona, AUZ505 and everyone for all the help, I really appreciate it Wink

There's one more thing, when should we do this?
Is this a synchronized event with NYC?

To my knowledge The city labs could be done whenever you like. No synchronization necessary.

Do we know this for sure? We know the training labyrinths are done from the inside out, but personal labyrinths go outside-inside-outside. When clarifying the position of the center of the labyrinth, Eli Hunt said,
Quote:
Allow me to clarify on the "center" of a labyrinth.

The ancients believed that a journey to the center of a labyrinth and back out again was like visiting the underworld, or another world, and returning. The act of going to a center and back out was essential to the function of the labyrinth. And the omphalos refers to the "navel", so you must think of the center of your labyrinth as its navel. It belongs essentially in the middle of the labyrinth.

Whether he meant us to take from that not only the position of the center but also an outside-inside-outside direction is not clear. I'll e-mail him and see if I can get an answer...

please do update us if he emails back,
I'm not even sure if I got it right, mine has only one way in and the same way out, unlike the other Omphalabyrinths in which it goes in then out without going through the same path twice.

Anyways just got back from doing an Omphalabyrinth route-check (I wouldn't recommend doing it at night), the roads are accessible, there's potential, but there are additional roads that's not on the googlemap, I got lost on the middle rings and couldn't find the right path ( the lost ring heh Very Happy) Doing it with the trackstick would actually help me map out the path. If only Kai would reply..*sigh*
