[HOLO][SOLVED] Code from Man in Plane

Click here, posted on Nate's website

Grid of letters and words. Something about a location to visit. Looks like it would have been a fun puzzle trail to do live.

The names are references to shipwrecks: http://www.thiswaytothe.net/tides/floridakeyswrecks.shtml

Using the coordinates from each shipwreck in order, we're at the followign progress in the solve:

LOOK IN MERMAID .....

Dante is awesome for figuring this all out Smile

The full solution seems to be

LOOK IN MERMAIDS BOAT

I posted this to Nate's blog.

Don't forget the 24° 55' 11" from the video.

ETA - in IRC, Nate mentioned this crosses Upper Matecumbe Key. It looks like his destination is the giant mermaid at the Lorelei restaurant in Islamadora.

Just a little update:

Nate has joined a specially-created IRC channel #miamq

He and Jay and TC are in a car, we think, driving to the Florida Keys, following the 24° 55' 11" clue.

See Mr. Toasty's update for the rest.

Cool, can you also please post how you got your solve in here (for archival purpose)?

Mousekinn explained the solve process...

Each of the names on the right side refer to shipwrecks, like that link indicates. Using that linked page, you take the coordinate of the associated wreck and find that location in the grid, which gives you a letter. There was some trial and error because I wasn't sure whether to round the coordinates or not, but if you pull out each letter in order, it gives you the "LOOK IN MERMAIDS BOAT" solve.
