Yeh a couple of us have had this email. Myself not included Crying or Very sad the answers a couple of pages back but basically it decodes to www.deletedthegame.com which is where you register to take part in this game. We think it was a quick recruitment drive by the PM. I mean what ARG player in their right mind can't resist a puzzle!

If your interested in playing then check out the wiki and read some of this thread.

Lol, I don't think that's what they're talking about when they say identity theft. Laughing I'm assuming that signing up would involve giving your bank accounts, credit numbers, SS number, driver's liscence number, birth certificate information etc. Anything that makes you you in the eyes of the world. So when they make all those records dissapear, you really are deleted.

Total cross of signals. I meant that first line to be joking back and then was just going on to comment (separately) on what might happen. :foreheadslap: My fault!

Hey, this is in the Meta tag of the updated SecureIDGuard site:

Hagelin's C-3X 5-letter key

Also in the bottom bar, to the right of '2008 copyright SecureID Guard Inc' there's the words Hagelin C3.

I'm trying to google but not finding much, I was hoping someone with some better cryptography in the mental tool kit could help.

EDIT: Is this a mechanism related to the Desidtech technology maybe? I can find other Hagelin crypto engines but not C3..

EDIT2: The page links in the source code include numbers that look like years preceded by the numbers 452 995. 1565 is when Vigenere published his encryption method. 1952, 1935, 1947, 1958 may be related to Hagelin machine releases maybe? It would be the golden years of WWII and the Cold War...

452 is not a valid area code it seems...so they aren't hidden phone numbers I don't think

Just a hunch Irene. That's a made up encryption type that they are going to be using for the security of their company files. Kind of like desidtech itself. Also makes sense cause they threw it in the copyright section.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't pursue it, it's the closest thing we have to a new clue...

ETA: As far as the numbers go, that's just because of the moonfruit software they used, for another example see this site: http://www.jacobandmatt.com/#/tour/4524774323

This *could* be read as "Hagelin's C-3_, a five letter key" in which case you would insert a 5 in the blank and have the proper decoding device--the one you found.

I think you might have something there.....good job!
