Some random theorising - in an older email to me, Robert said to "Find the connection between the two foreign elements". I just remembered that "Valdemar" means "Valley of the Sea" in Spanish (in turn perhaps linking to the "Cancer" wiki article? Though "valley" also implies earth). Perhaps P has some kind of relation to some element. I thought maybe "Peter", because "éter" is Spanish for "aether", according to Wikipedia. Or maybe a fire connection.

In a similar vein of speculation, with regards to Cecilla.

Maybe Cecilla is the opposite of Memory, hence why she is against us. As well as blindness, maybe she's forgetfulness too - sort of like the Greek myth idea of Lethe - "forgetfulness or concealment". I can't actually find any concrete Lethe/Cecilla link though, it's just speculation from evidence in notes/emails. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lethe

Regards speculating, the corny side of me came out earlier and decided that maybe Cecilla was what she is (or the way P!R uses it anyway) because she has one eye (i) closed. R!P/P!R (ripper?) refused to reply to my query on that though =P

Continuing along the P being an element line, appropriately enough it is - phosphorous, an element with a reputation for burning long and hot. It would fit well enough with the theme that I'd say that's what P is.

EDIT: Or maybe, if we're going with classical elements, simply representing fire?

Hmm, I guess we haven't really established a timeline for exactly when the notes were written, like a specific year other than "the mid 90s".

Looking at the Bullet With Butterfly Wings lyrics (with the "despite all my rage" quoted in Note 1), it's a bit chilling. If we take R!P to be the one with rage, it would indicate that P!R has control over him. Which gets creepy when you start seeing "Tell me I'm the only one/Tell me there's no other one".

If this were advertising something, yeah, I'd say some sort of album would be the most likely. Several bands have run ARGs before (the Nine Inch Nails one is classic, and led to some lucky Los Angeles ARGers getting a secret concert!) and I can't see the dark content as being really suitable for anything more mainstream like a movie. But... The Pumpkins have already released a Greatest Hits, and the band member died of an overdose, so I'd say it's unrelated other than the quotes.
