Penny Arcade: On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness
"That...was a rather large robot"

So for those of you haven't heard, Penny Arcade released their first video game, On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, this past week...

And it is awesome. Check out the Demo at the above link, it's well worth it. Just don't play with children or the easily offended around. Swearing and Fruit F***ing abound!

The website's description of the plot does it more justice than I could:
Quote:
On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness is an episodic RPG-adventure game series set in a deranged comic-book meets-pulp-horror 1920s universe. Armed with unconventional weaponry and witty repartee, you join forces with the Gabe and Tycho, the crime-solving team of the Startling Developments Detective Agency to make war on bizarre enemies and solve the mysteries hidden deep in the sinister heart of New Arcadia.

Toss in a mysterious narrator ("Whatever you do, don't spend time pondering my mysterious identity! You're pondering it, aren't you? I urge you, do NOT, as it will only distract you from the task at hand!"), waves of steampunk robot juicers with carnal desires for fruit, a very lazy cat, a rake used as an offensive weapon, a very well done combat system with a unique mix of turn based and timed combat, and some of the funniest dialogue and story since Portal and you've got one heck of a game.

It's out for PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox Live Marketplace.

I highly reccomend it

I played a few minutes of it the other day, and I was highly amused. Can't wait to make more time for it soon!

Tried the demo and I loved it... But I don't have time for this!

I played through the demo last night. It was pretty funny. I liked the graphics, but I thought the camera, or the angles it took, seemed a little "off".
