Guess what I found on a Google Group?
Seems that a programmer for the prototype161 website needed help. It seems there are verification pages and thanks pages which we can't access via normal operations.

Nice find. However the pages are accessible, and they are just for email verification and useless from a game standpoint. And would be majorly cheating if they were lol.
Although, this does show that maybe this guy isn't quite as ready as he thought. It's funny, yesterday I sent iseeyouareastute an email saying that http://www.prototype161.com/signup was broken and never got a response.

OMG I actually found this the first day but didn't read it enough to realize it had anything to do with the game.
I joined the group... just in case.

It doesn't have anything to do with the game. Unless you mean it's meta. And it could seriously ruin the game for you if he has to post something revealing, though I doubt he would.

Well I am now unjoined, so it shouldn't be an issue
Anyway... back to the actual game...

I can't wait until someone else jumps into this thread and it devolves into the .net/PHP/Rails war.

I sat down last night and caught up (sometimes using the forums sometimes not), sent an email to the appropriate address, and tried to sign up. There has been no reply & I got a 500 error respectively. How long did it take y'all to get a response to the email?
This is a neat idea and I live in NYC, but I'm just not sure about the whole live thing - don't have enough confidence with this stuff yet and don't have 7 friends who are game. I tried 3 of them and they backed away from me slowly; then they ran.

That sucks for me...
On this page (apply) I get an "email already taken" message. And have had no response
On this page (signup) I got a 500 error last night and today there is a message saying "This feature is currently disabled. To be notified when this page is active, submit your email here."
And I emailed the email found in through the puzzles with no response.
Bummer all around.
I guess I'll just wait - waiting is so hard...

Eh? No, they're just having trouble with the site, a little patience goes a long ways
