This is the one piece of swag I collected that I forgot to post pictures of. It is pretty sweet...

Sorry if this is trout, but it looks like we have more evidence on www.imaginetheimpossibilites.com http://www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com/77203/09179/80576.htm

it appears to be the name of 2 cities in Iowa. Vinton is pretty much due east of Carroll. Don't see much else here excpet a steadily growing amount of numbers in the URL.

Not trout, that was updated today. They even put the date right on the page for us, like they did last time... 040808

So... this is case 91 evidence 3. Sheep patterns was case 91 evidence 2, and the 4 Iowa coordinates was case 91 evidence 1.

Still not sure if this is a puzzle to solve, or just advertising.

<edit>: sorry, edited as I immediately recognized my mistake.

So I think the a+b/a=a/b is a reference to the golden ratio as it relates to the Fibonacci sequence, but I really haven't a very good idea of that. My math skills are fuzzy at best.

The two Iowan cities are the southern ones of the four named in the coordinates from the first piece of evidence.

And, you'd think that rectangle would measure up to the golden ratio, right? edited:It doesn't seem to, but I'm thinking that maybe my fuzzy math skills have something to do with it. Please, could someone else try to calculate this? My numbers are close to the golden ratio, but not quite close enough to seem definite.

PostLarval: Go here for the first piece of evidence.

Y'all are too fast for a person to try and slip a mistake by unnoticed Raspberry

My guess is more advertising. I think for the most part the ARG will take place on www.massivedynamic.com. We've got a little over a month until the show premieres so I guess we play the waiting game for something more substantial.

Every set of numbers we've come across thus far has represented something, be it a coordinate or just a reference to fibonacci. These 5 digit numbers in the url that are added on with each update must be relevant somehow.

I'd be willing to bet they are somehow related to the ratio. We'll need someone better with math than I to prove/disprove that theory, though.

Could simply be to obfuscate URLs so people don't start finding content blindly.

That's what I thought with the first update, but when they kept stringing one onto the end of the other I found it odd. They've been pretty precise in everything they've done thus far... really focusing on patterns, not randomness.

Also: When you folks are looking at the update, are you seeing the 'whole picture'? Literally... I may have misunderstood, but it sounds as if you only saw the lower two cities. If that's the case, view the full background image- it shows all the cities marked by the previous coordinates.

Nothing better than math to help put me to sleep...

After remembering that there is a mirror to 'imaginethepossibilities' - http://www.61803398874989484820458683436563811.com - and remembering that this is a decimal representation of the golden ratio (minus the whole number '1'), I did the math again.

The five digit numbers added to the url at each update are just further decimal places in the golden ratio. The next update (if there is one) will add 28621. I checked, but it's not there yet...

Regarding the coordinates- I found the exact measurements, and it appears they are meant to map a golden rectangle... but all the distances are slightly off. I'd assume because it was the only way to utilize four existing towns. Plus, I doubt they expected ultra-obsessive examination of the details.

Cool
here's the wikipedia page on a+b and so forth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ratio

also discovered that the MD jingle is Fibonacci here's an example and good explanation how it's used in music
http://web.tampabay.rr.com/warhawks/FibonacciWaltz.html

also I think this is the compound on the sheep video is c14h24
http://www.emolecules.com/cgi-bin/more?vid=1061663&s=ChemGate

the formula on the sheep horn is called the "fibonacci search" on the web it leads to a field of science called "evolutuionary computation"

[spec] Just started thinking about this: Perhaps we're looking at this the wrong way. Yes, they've released a number of interesting sites with ARG-like inclusions to get people interested in the show. But with only a month to the release of the show, it doesn't seem like they could fully complete an "advertising" ARG in that small amount of time. So maybe this is actually going to be something more along the vein of Lost and Heroes, in which the site wouldn't go live until the show has come out, thus providing an extended experience instead of a viral campaign? [/spec]
