Also, here's the (rough) solve to the equation according to the diagram PostLarval uploaded.

a = 136.6544 miles or 219.9242 km
b = 92.3441 miles or 148.6137 km
a/b = 1.4798389935036456037797758600712 miles or 1.4798379960932269366821497614285 km
Which isn't exactly right since the last digits change (regardless of unit of measurement, both numbers should be identical). So the site I'm getting my calculation on distance from must be wrong.

Edit: It's probably from the rounding of the distance's decimal. I don't have a calculator anymore that can do sin, cos, and atan or I might do it myself.
Here's the formula if anyone else thinks that this may actually be important (which kind of seems unlikely).
Code:
d = acos(sin(lat1)*sin(lat2)+cos(lat1)*cos(lat2)*cos(long2−long1))*R
or
R = earth's radius (mean radius = 6,371km)
Δlat = lat2− lat1
Δlong = long2− long1
a = sinē(Δlat/2) + cos(lat1)*cos(lat2)*sinē(Δlong/2)
c = 2*atan2(√a, √(1−a))
d = R*c

So I think the a+b/a=a/b is a reference to the golden ratio as it relates to the Fibonacci sequence, but I really haven't a very good idea of that. My math skills are fuzzy at best.

The golden ration is also known as Phi - which is 1.61803398874989484820458683436563811

After remembering that there is a mirror to 'imaginethepossibilities' - http://www.61803398874989484820458683436563811.com - and remembering that this is a decimal representation of the golden ratio (minus the whole number '1'), I did the math again.

Actually, they were very clever and http://1.61803398874989484820458683436563811.com works fine.

Here's Evidence 003 darkened up. The strings of lines almost seem like text/numbers/barcode of some sort. They're repeated whatever they are.

Edit: the middle string definitely seems to have a piece that says "Iowa".

[I think for the most part the ARG will take place on www.massivedynamic.com. We've got a little over a month until the show premieres so I guess we play the waiting game for something more substantial.

[spec] Just started thinking about this: Perhaps we're looking at this the wrong way. Yes, they've released a number of interesting sites with ARG-like inclusions to get people interested in the show. But with only a month to the release of the show, it doesn't seem like they could fully complete an "advertising" ARG in that small amount of time. So maybe this is actually going to be something more along the vein of Lost and Heroes, in which the site wouldn't go live until the show has come out, thus providing an extended experience instead of a viral campaign? [/spec]

I know that www.portaltoindia.com the 'travel and info' site that 'Stuart Sims aka Master Quark' is promoting says it will be 'up and running' next month also. A couple of weeks ago he said he figured it would take him about a month, working 16 hour days to get it going. *about the same as getting a tv show on air*.

I've never played one of these type games, but I'm thinking it's going to go right along with the show, and give us clues for the next week's ep and such.

JMHO.

I think that's the best guess right now. I think the Comic-Con event was as ARG-y as it's going to get. The rest is going to be an extended experience thing like you said.

Nice. Never even thought to check that.

I'm in agreement that this is more of an 'extended experience', at least at this point. That was also the impression I got from the Fringe panel at Comic-Con. If the show really takes off, we might see something more interactive over time.

Someone's prob going to trout me for this (cause I've been skimming) but anyone notice that that site rewinds and fast forwards based on mouse gestures? I wonder if it responds to other mouse gestures in any other ways...

Heroes showed how these extended experiences keep the buzz going (the online community is hip to many of these new shows and by embracing them the producers make friends and may influence others - so more people then stay tuned for the next episode).

Ya, the people currently 'buzzing' about Fringe are doing so mainly because of this experience. It really builds anticipation.

I played with it a bit, gets you kinda dizzy actually, you can 'rewind', go frame by frame, all with the clicks and movements of the mouse.

Sorry if this is trout, but it looks like we have more evidence on www.imaginetheimpossibilites.com http://www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com/77203/09179/80576.htm

it appears to be the name of 2 cities in Iowa. Vinton is pretty much due east of Carroll. Don't see much else here excpet a steadily growing amount of numbers in the URL.

The numbers in the website "77203 09179 80576" are all part of phi:

You beat me to it, PostLarval. That was good thinking, by the way!

Iowa Point Intersection
Intersection of 4 iowa coordinates after drawing an "X"

Has anyone investigated the possibility of a clue located at the point where the four Iowa coordinates meet if you drew an X joining them?

Someone check my math, but I think if you drew an X joining the four points the intersection point would be 42.76817556, -93.3934252
