Also found this.. I am at work so didn't get a chance to read thru past posts but from the MD website:

I wrote to technical support asking about some silly stuff: I were a new employee and Ms. Sharp (o-O) told me to ask techsupport for my password and account. I know, I suck as conspirative hacker, hehe. Anyway, they haven't mailed me anything back. But I also haven't got any mailer errors.

And to the song, I think, this could be useful:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Row,_Row,_Row_Your_Boat

And... I don't know, perhaps I'm overinterpretating it,
but singing the song I tried to count:

Quote:
Row (1), row (1), row your boat, (3)
Gently down the stream. (5)
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, (12, alternatively 3,3,3,3)
Life is but a dream. (5, alternatively, 1,2,2)

So I've got in a very selective kind:
Quote:
1 1 3 5 12 5
and this reminds me about the number sequence on the http://fox.com/fringe/:
Quote:
1 1 3 15 3 3 1 5

But perhaps I'm really just overinterpretating it. Smile

Update: Found something about Fibonacci vs. "Row row row"

Quote:
Music
A violin is constructed in the golden ratio Familiar songs have Fibonacci number of notes: Mary had a little lamb, 5 notes; Row, Row, Row Your Boat, 8 notes; and most music today, 13 notes.

more at the massive dynamic website

unless i missed it the last 3 times I looked at the massive dynamic site, they added content under the news and press section about the higher ups in the company, history and such. I may have missed that link before but I'm pretty sure its new. and I also received an email response today same as above

I don't see anything different in News & Press. What exactly did you see about higher ups and history there. It sounds more like you were looking at the "Our Company" section of the site.

You confirmed for me though that it seems like email responses go out en masse.

 Thread still active?

Just wondering if this thread is still active? I have spent my entire morning catching up... and I need to go lie down now. The show is great, and it has been some time since I have participated in a ARG. Hoping I can help, somehow.

You're welcome Smile
I hope, one day Fringe will get its own board, since the more episodes are broadcasting the (at least) more threads will be opened.

Just thought I'd share that Hulu is streaming all of the episodes for free if those people outside of the country want to be able to see the show as it happens too.
www.hulu.com/fringe

However, Hulu is supposed to be a US only site. So anyone that wants to watch the episodes will have to read through this on how.

Is it just me or has the "potential" for this show becoming something .... more, taken a nosedive?

Don't get me wrong - I'm really enjoying the program itself [Walter cracks me up] - but aside from an MD web presence punctuated by a few select email brush offs.... what is there?

Well there's the glyphs - interesting yes, but if they are the *key* to the engine turning over, I would be surprised that they'd wait this long [5 episodes in + a gap week].

I like the show but am a bit bored with scouring each episode for clues that just might be "it". The only payoff that I've seen has been a few quaint, strategically placed tie-ins and some quasi-clues that lead nowhere except to a bit of foreshadowing for the coming episode.

I think I'm going to just sit back and enjoy watching.

Patience is the key that turns the engine to most ARGs.

fringe
arg,etc.

Cool

I enjoy the show as well. To me we are seeing another piece of the puzzle each week with sorted clues leading to discovery of the pattern. At some point something has got to give i.e. a protangonist will be revealed.
Where is the question. On the show? On the MD site? A clue dropped in Walter's notes? Or somwhere else? You have to ask if there will be an ARG or are the different sites part of a viral campaign? At any rate it's fun and as vapor said be patient...something will come along. Just a reminder that the writers of Fringe have said openly they read the blogs..so who knows?

So since emails have been sent back to us, does this mean we'll get a forum dedicated to Massive Dynamic yet?

I got tons of emails back from them. Most are simply "we have your info on file and get back to you" or "we're sorry there's nothing available yet." (this is just because I sent an email to as many different in game email addresses I could find, lol).

The only one that was different was this (and I don't know why they addressed me as Buitenheld, maybe that was a typo, I was writing the ingame character Buitenheld, it's not my name... odd, again probably just a typo):

Quote:
Mr. Buitenheld,

We appreciate your interest in making a donation. However, the MD Foundation is funded entirely through corporate profits and donations from MD team members. We suggest you donate to one of the many deserving charities worldwide, such as the Methuselah Foundation and the X PRIZE Foundation.

Hello Mr. Buitenheld,

I am very interested in making a donation to the MD Foundation. Could you email me information if this is possible.

Thank you,

Michael Colon

x prize foundation

Cool
I looked up the Xprize Foundation. It's connected to a group called Well Point, which seems to be health related. I'm not sure if it's a real site. I checked it on who is and it was registered in 9/2008 by a group called markmarketing.com
Here's the thing that makes me think it's a fake. On the site they claim to have assisted with the Soyez flights. I didn't look up the other group as yet.

I believe the X-Prize Foundation is a non-profit organisation that awards monetary incentives for research breakthroughs in science, medicine, technology, and engineering. The first X-Prize, also known as the Ansari X-Prize after Iranian-American benefactor Anousheh Ansari, was instituted to reward the first private company to achieve sub-orbital space flight; legendary aviator Burt Rutan and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen won that prize back in 2004 with their craft SpaceShipOne, the first in Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic commercial spaceplane fleet. I remember following this 21st century 'space race' with great interest. Anousheh Ansari herself became the latest space tourist after taking a trip to the ISS on a Soyuz capsule, so it's definitely plausible that the X-Prize Foundation has assisted with the Soyuz program.

The Methuselah Prize is a similar monetary incentive, to be awarded to the first group of researchers to demonstrate significant life extension in lab mice. Both groups are legitimate real-world organisations, but I can understand how one could question their authenticity, given their highly ambitious respective goals.

That's one of the things I love about Fringe; even though the fringe science on the show is dubious at best, every episode is inspired by actual medical and scientific research being undertaken around the globe at this very moment, spurred on by organisations like the two mentioned.

Yeah I looked both those up. Cuz I was like, "Oooh Methuselah. Biblical referrence. Sounds promising." But they're both indeed OOG and legitimate.

All the emails I got seemed like auto responses, and no matter who I emailed they all got sent back by the same address: massiveSPLATmassivedynamic.com.

I'm happy to get a response. But it's a little disconcerting to get all the emails routed to the "massive" username bot. It makes me think that even if you made up some obscure name, "at" sign, and massivedynamic.com on the end, it'll still get sent there.

I haven't tested that yet. But I plan to, and really hope I get a "sorry your email could not be delivered" response.
