Well, I'm glad sum1 else said it first...yeah, the show (and its lack of extended net narrative) are a disappointing pastiche. I'm completely over brilliant poker-playing rogues, insane scientist shut-ins, frigid blond agents...either the plots or the characters need to seem real, and they're both baloney.

I'd say it's either canceled this year or the next. It's way too calculated to snowball an audience; ratings look like a big opening from Abrams' name and a quick fall-off. But it answers what Cronenberg would look like if done by sum1 other than Cronenberg (Fly II anyone?).

The statement was referring to the online potential of Fringe. As in ARG territory. It was not a criticism of the show itself; in fact the rest of cater-pillar's post makes it quite clear that he's a fan... and judging by its continuing high ratings and huge Internet fanbase after only six episodes, I'd say he's in large company.

Personally I think it's the best SF network TV series since The X-Files, but like cater-pillar, I'm also beginning to think that we may be scouring the show for breadcrumbs that may ultimately lead nowhere.... so I'll take his advice to "just sit back and enjoy watching".... at least for now, until the online portion kicks off.

Especially since in yet another disappointment
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Intrepus doesn't have a website... yet. Maybe it's delayed or something, but if Intrepus doesn't have a website (that and that our emails all get routed and autoresponded from the same email address no matter who we email), that all but confirms that the Massive Dynamic website is just something fun for us to look at.
And the show is what we should really be enjoying.

I'll keep checking my email, obviously since... it's my email, and maybe enter a few websites after watching episodes just for kicks, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Perhaps you've already saw it, but Intrepus is the only anagram to Unpriest. Perhaps nothing, but since JJ Abrams loves anagrams, I wanted to give my 2 cents Smile

Here is some stuff about various kind of writing of unpriest.

But I suppose, it's nothing...

Since the show is on a mid-season break, I guess when it has it's next new episode would be a good time to check back in. If you're just catching on to this whole affair, this break is a good time to catch up.
