Yeah, but how does a hand with six fingers fit into the Fibonacci sequence, other than the fact that this particular image of a six fingered hand links to a YouTube video uploaded by a man who has a real thing for the Fibonacci sequence?

The sixth finger doesn't, but hands in general are often associated with fibonacci. We have two of them, each with five fingers, separated into three sections, which often have measurements that fit the ratio. So I imagine that's why the hand is included... with the 6th finger simply fitting into the plot of the show.

Only connection I'm not familiar with is the frog. If anyone knows how it fits, please share.

The amino acids fit with the theme of the newest braille translation.

"Explore the Impossibilities *7.26.08* San Diego"

I knew it! They're kicking this off at Comic-Con!

I've heard whispers around town (from different comic stores) that SOME sort of scavenger hunt has been setting up. I hope this is it...

Anyone else going to be here next week?

Fringe

Hi i am Matt from www.watchfringe.blogspot.com

I have been watching this site since the speculation that holomove was a Fringe ARG.

It is looking very likely that an ARG will be starting at Comic-con this Saturday. The panel discussion is planned to finish at 5:45pm PST and the clue will be sent out at 6pm. So i am pretty sure that the ARG will be started at Comic-Con.

Here is the url to sign up for the clue: http://www.searchforthepattern.com/getTheClue.php

Fringe
Car??

Okay -someone post about Abrams Auto and suv - if you search their inventory -there is only one SUV -what are the odds of that. I am still messing with that page - but seem fishy to me.

As previously mentioned, the AbramsAuto website is OOG (out-of-game). It was registered in 2006, which is way too early to be connected to Fringe. Anyways, the radio ad has changed and it now says "Franklin Auto":

I will. This is has been on my to-do list for awhile; I'll be reporting back with what info I've gathered afterward.

Another Number in the Sequence

I was just out at the site and they have added another number to the sequence at the bottom. It now reads (in braille):

5 8 13 21 34 55 89

Also, I noticed that the braille translation mentioned earlier is a little off...

The web site is using a couple characters that translate to letter combinations (SH and TH) rather than individual letter.

Here's the translation I got with the extra letters in brackets. Of course, I don't know anything more about braille than what I could pick up on wikipedia, so maybe this is normal use.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

S[h]cience and technology
have advanced far beyond
out ability to control. T[h]he ability to
generate life has taken
a new course.

Oh yeah, and I'm new here too. So hi everyone!

Re: Another Number in the Sequence

Welcome sundown. Nice to have you here.

5 8 13 21 34 55 89 is part of the fibronacci sequence, which is what the entire pre-game has revolved around.
