FWIW, I appreciated it as well.

Also, it seems to me that, perhaps the fortune cookie/music carelessly file is Wongmo's calling card - or perhaps a student of his since, I believe the fortunes said, "I'm no poet but you're no hacker" or something like that.

Not sure what you are questioning here.

If you are ? who this is: Wongmo refers to a new website that has been found: see http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2679

If you are ? whether Wongmo is one of the hackers: I ask, why not? There is obviously some deeper meanings weaved into his site: See the thread is this forum "Wongmore"

Hey, I don't know if this has been posted yet, I did a search and didn't find it...

I was watching animatrix, and in the "beyond" episode, where the girl enters the building and it's raining inside, the "music" was very familiar...
I checked, and the music in the swf sounds just like it, but piched down a bit. And you can't hear the rain in that version.

Cheers all!
Did anyone solve the crossword puzzle at
http://www.theaquapolis.com/urchin/carelessly.qm2?

I guess we fill in the words and then use the ID at top (1031631) to make up a line...?

Is anyone good at crosswords? I´m not, especially not in english...

Well, I haven't solved it yet, but it's quite a weird crossword. The clues aren't synonyms for words, the words are simply missing from the clue, to make it a complete proverb/quote/sentece.

Anyway, the ID # prolly isn't of much help, as it is automatically generatede when you create a crossword at EdHelper.com

I don't think it has been solved to everybody's satisfaction; it certainly has not been unscrambled. Here you can find a Word attachment that includes the puzzle. I think there are some variations in those answers, which are below.

say/sad/bad
in
first
here
happiness/tardiness
of
I
Again
What
The/BCE/see
Well
Lots
Am

I'm sure 40+ is a b**** to read through; so for just the puzzle discussion you can check pages starting around 30-33 (I think?).

Okay, i don't know much about hacking (unfortunately, i could really use that information in this environment) or even standard computer stuff you guys are talking about. I don't know much about Photoshop or anything like that, as my life-experience has taken me on a different road. This is why my post amount is so low! I usually read through almost every post, most things not making a lick of sense to me. But, for some reason, i continue to read fervently. I really enjoy the stuff you guys are coming up with. I think it's great that i can at least follow along to some extent and be a part it it in that respect (although i wish i could actually have a hand in it).

It just seems to me that there are two parallels in this ARG at the moment. There are the things going on behind the scenes (i.e. puzzles via pictures, binary, ftp, etc.), and there are things going on with specific characters in the 'real world' (i.e. phillip, beth, etc.).

From what i've read come to learn about Beth, she doesn't seem to be someone who would secretly be some hacker chick. I don't think she's making any appearances on ftp sites. I think the meeting place they are talking about is going to be a physical location (wongmo's retreats, Cairo, Zurich, etc).

I just think there are two facets of this game at the moment, and Beths role is in the 'physical' realm, whereas the roles of Texel, Cassius, Statik, are played on various sites in that very hacker-esque way.

Am i making sense?

Keep up the great work, i'm really enjoying this, and actually maybe retaining some of this information as well.

This has been the generally accepted concensus we all hold - not to say it is written in concrete - but that's where we mostly look at it from.

The one exception is that I'd tend to argue (and I know that there are others on this board who agree) that one or more of our hacker team is a Metacortex employee.

Anyway, this is a little off-topic and a little spec. Jus in future Cyf, you might want to check for a thread that might be a bit more relevant for what you're posting. Very Happy

And also a brazilian Metacortex (actually more than one) and so on and so forth. They are not related to the game.

If you're on doubt if a site is in game or not check for the USH logo, it's the simpler (and most of the times the best) way to find.

Something that occurred to me as I was watching 'Revolutions' yesterday -

there's a chase scene involving Trainman - as Trinity and Morpheus (and Seraph, I think?) are running, they're passing ads along the walls. One of them looked remarkably like the carelessly.goo.jpg, with a caption that looked to read 'burn' or 'burn more.'
