Double post.

No thread in IG forum, because the events about the rings are secrets to TheO, and we haven't finished discussion about how to manage these events in IG forums. The events are discussed here, and I led people there by this post.

(Anyway, this evening was the only chance for me and I had no time to make phone calls in the daytime.)

I can't understand the structure of the sentences of the voicemail, especially I wonder why the voicemail says twice "the entrance to (of) the labyrinth".

And what is the airplane mark in your map?

Isn't it possible some words mentioning the type of the place weren't translated?

"here" was this forum thread. so that you could be caught up on what was going on.
The link to the map said " a map of likely general locations: "

The airplane is just Tokyo generally. It was left from when I was mapping out the work sapagoo did in figuring out the directions from Dongying to Osaka to Tokyo.

The double "The entrance to" seems to indicate that the entrance to the labyrinth is the same location as the entrance to the museum.

And I am afraid you may be right. there seems to be something missing. It might help if there was someone who knows Armenian and Japanese and could translate directly for you. As it is, we're going from Armenian to French to English to Japanese...potentially a problem. Is there a college with an Armenian department near you? maybe they could help...

And thanks for the link. I wanted to see if there was anything in there I might be able to clarify.

No, I meant, twice other than "the entrance of the museum".

Another thing that helped last time, was that mrjudkins contacted Eli Hunt directly with the map I'd made. Eli provided some help with narrowing the location down. Could you contact Eli?

Ah! sorry. That's the orientation of the labyrinth. that the entrance direction is aligned with the direction of Aphrodite 5.

Do you mean the latter "entrance" is "entrance direction"?

I think there should be no problem to post the information in the IG forums, because James wrote:

Hey pdreamerblue,

Thanks for your message. It was my responsibility to track the forums, and to my knowledge, no one else really was. So I think that it's certainly ok to discuss things on the forums. However, it's important to not brag about it (we still have another ring to find... maybe several...!)

Hope that helps.

I have send Eli my map (based on Ariocks one) with the Labyrinth and some further questions - but no answer, yet.

I still did not understand, how Ariock determined the possible locations.

Thank you very much, AUZ! I realized now I have missed dreamerblue's post. Yesterday I was extremely busy ... But I really appreciate this, because I've long been frustrated that I can't tell people in Noriko's forum about the events directly.

The first two were assuming that the start point was at the point where a person entering the labyrinth sees walls on both sides, perpendicular to the direction they are going. The first of those assumed a 3-circuit, and the second assumed a 7-circuit. This assumption means that there is 1 circuit width behind the person on the right side when they are entering. It also assumed that the 7-circuit labyrinth isn't as long as it is wide. For example, a 15 meter wide 7-circuit is only 13.5 or 14 meters long (depending on how the center is drawn).
My last one was a seven circuit that assumed that the length and width ARE equal, and placed the "entrance" on the very edge of the length (26.183 stadia from the edge). I'll try to post an image that shows the various points on a labyrinth.

Thank you for your advice, but I think, before contacting Eli, I have to understand the voicemail accurately. (I don't think it's a English-Japanese problem.)

Here's an image of where my start points were. I'm now trying with the start point at the first corner. We'll see how that goes.

By the way, the voicemail says the outmost "path", not the wall. That might mean we have to reduce the distance by half of the width of the path.

I added to the map the entrance of the Natinal Science Museum. There are three buildings in the Museum (two of them are big), so I think the entrance should mean the entrance of the whole Museum.

I think we can define the exact destination, because the labyrinth width was given 26,183 stadias, not 26 stadias.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal
"In English-speaking and many Asian countries, a period (.) is used as the decimal separator; in many other languages, a comma is used."

That's why I've assumed that it's 26.183 stadia, anyway. It may be 26183 stadia.
