Yup, cigar's right, Blackout is effectively the state of total lockdown, so nothing gets in or out - in WW2, it referred to the blackout blinds on windows.

As of today, has anyone received any further details after attempting to enlist for service? Aside from the email asking me to verify my email address, I haven't heard anything new. Just checking to see if anyone else had.

The closest thing I have gotten was a Market Research Group calling my cellphone yesterday (yes I put in my cell #) but I thought that was jsut random telemarketer trash and told them I wasn't interested and not to call back.

It was only afterword that I remembered I had given my # to this, and I hope I didn't blow some chance by telling them not to call again.

I really hope this thing takes off. I've been trying to find an ARG that is just starting for me to get into. I missed most of THe Dark Knight ARG, so hopefully I can be part of this one instead.

I don't think that it's an issue of how hard we dig, but more of an issue of waiting. Granted, I have little experience with 42, but perhaps this is just the prelude? Perhaps the game is going to blow up in time instead of immediately going all-out? I will also admit that if that is the case it would seem as if there would be a rather plain implication that we are to wait for the next clue, (Given 42's reputation, if it is 42) but that is my theory. Then again, I'm the noob!

Well, keep in mind we have been given some clues, in plain sight, that could indicate a period of time that we have to wait for. We have quite a few upcoming dates that we should probably keep an eye on, yeah?

I'll try and find them and update my post.

I don't know how many new/newer ARGers we have involved here, so let me throw out the most important piece of ARGing information I can offer anyone: learn patience. I'm not saying we're being impatient at this point, but you never know when a game is truly poised to take off(didn't TDK CRAWL along for the first few months?). I've played games with daily updates, and I've played games with *monthly* updates. Lets let this thing roll for a while and grab a feel for it.

This IS NOT a new link, but does anyone remember this from the first game?

http://www.resistancefallofman.com/?l=en&c=GB

(right side is the relevant side)

I guess it was obvious that I am very new to ARG (my first one) so I will wait for now.

But I will throw this in, because now because I think it's relevant...

-that Abraham clip may also be Hale after getting an experimental shot and reacting poorly to it.

I previously thought the other two:

-Abraham clip was depicting an accident

-Abraham clip was plane crash wreckage

I do think now it's him getting a shot, because if it was an accident, you shouldn't need guards, and in that clip there were guards... his left arm appeared to have been strapped-down (that or a double-casting of a womans hand)... I don't know about his right arm. If it was after the first Resistance where an accident could've occurred I don't think the posters would have had that date like degravedi stated... although I do note that everything is aged on that site, so I'm thinking he was given a shot or it was indeed plane wreckage... The accident is now third, but still holds a little weight.

That pic may either be of his friends he lost in the accident, or people who survived getting the experimental shot... I think it's of people who survived because like degravedi stated, they were wearing black ties... I'm not sure but I think black ties were worn on special occasions in the army, like graduations or weddings... so I think Hale (if he is in the pic) and the rest in the people were people who survived the shot and the elite training.

...and Hale was "designed" to be infected.

And the "Blackout" is for us... we may have to wait... Ha!

but also there was on the cover and another page refering to radio, which at that time was being blacked-out in terms of independent broadcasts, so that might be a lead there.

Just a thought.

Hello everyone! I just read through the entire thread and look forward to participating in it. I signed up as "no preference" on the enlistment site and also gave them my phone number. I hope that wasn't a mistake!
