I dunno about the first one, but if the screen shots and the game play are any good, I'll get this one for the hubby. Afterall, 42's "Last Call Poker" was a success for introducing us to "Gun" (and he enjoyed the PS2 game).

I'm thinking of getting one. I have ever since FFXIII was announced for it....

Btw, Gun was an amazing game, yet short.

Gun was extremely short... and I wish I'd known about ARGs back then. Sad

You had to love the slo-mo shots to the face, though.

Don't think I'll pick it up, don't have a PS3 let alone the funding to go pick one up. Also, huzzah for the return of Contra! Unless it's the men in the suits posting under his handle...

I'd love to have a PS3 and both of the Resistance games (I got to play Halo on a friend's system and loved the "go shoot aliens" thing Laughing). Unfortunately, I have no money for either. It's bad enough having to feed my internet addiction -- forget actual food, I subsist on megabytes (har dee har har).

FYI , resistance is not an easy game by any means, and im a pretty hardcore gamer. Its sort of like unreal tournament in a way.

To all the people wondering about if they should get Resistance I say go get it. The game was fun and so was the online, but a word of advice wait till it gets the greatest hits tag. Because no one should pay 60 dollars for a game released at launch.

Sorry for getting back on topic again Wink but I noticed at the end of the first clip the heart monitor went blank and the morse code happened... then in the beginning of the second clip that man was washing his hands (vigorously) near what I assume to be a morgue.

Okay, I know this was obvious from the get-go, but here it is, but here it isn't...

-Whomever that person has died (or was comatose)

-Whomever that person was had an autopsy done on him

-Whomever that person was woke out of it.

-While they were talking, just before the disturbance she said "...but those men..."

Obvious, right?

Not so fast...

It is debatable that what that person was shot with was the Chimeran virus, so right now that part is speculation; but if we were to assume that he was given experimental drugs and then intentionally infected, then

-whomever that person was WOKE out of it...

What's the significance?

-in Resistance, only one person was known to wake from a Chimeran-induced catatonic state...

-this video does not confirm whom this person is, but it's not likely not Hale partly because there seemed to be a suggestion of immediate and drastic physiological changes to the person in the clip on the face: as that pretty much was one of the areas that you couldn't see, but the doctor said something along the lines of "you saw that man". Hale's face seemed normal from the beginning.

-this does confirm though that they hit the first stage of resisting the virus's effects: waking up from the permanent coma.

-the clip also shows one of the side effects Hale has: superhuman strength as the person banging on the door both throws the doctor off of the door and dents the metal window with ease.

****

also, something to perhaps look into:

- yet also in Resistance, there was another person who was presumed to run from a Chimeran attack, being the only survivor of his company... he did not give any details about himself (one of the notes you find)

-there was also a person the one of the snipers in Notingham (I think) mentioned about having eyes like him. I could be mistaken, (It's been a few weeks) but if they weren't joking about his eyes looking Chimeran, he was talking about someone else, possibly a third person. My memory's a little fuzzy, so I'll have to research that before commenting further.

-if you play two-player the second player obviously isn't anyone in the picture (he's an unnamed African American) and he shares the same abilities as Hale.

-Hale never had any insignia on him to suggest he was with the group Cassie Aklin or the black-ops guys had that I can recall... could Hale have escaped?

-in the first Resistance before he was infected, his life meter didn't regenerate, but it was segmented (I think)... was it because he had the abilities, but those abilities were innate until infection?

Anyways, something to think about... even if incorrect. Smile

Not necessarily, they could have been right next to the operating room (doctor's always scrub out the same way they scrub in). It's also possible that one (or more) of the other subjects had a violent reaction. After all, the guy was strapped to the gurney. (However, I tend to agree that it was probably him. If he went Chimera, I'm sure he could break the straps.)

Yes, we've been sort of adhering to the speculation that the Army was experimenting to make controllable supersoldiers from the virus, but after the General's letter, I'm starting to think they were trying to make a cure instead. He calls what they're being treated with a "serum" which is defined as "Blood serum from the tissues of immunized animals, containing antibodies and used to transfer immunity to another individual." However, most viral cures are made by injecting someone with a very small portion of supposedly "dead" virus so that the immune system can form antibodies. So maybe that's what's happening and of course the results aren't working yet.

Just some more to think about.

My offical speculation to throw into the ring is that the seven people in the picture were all subjects in this experiment. All but Hale died due to complications and the videos we're seeing are of the failures. We probably haven't seen any of Hale as of yet. Now put that in your pipes and smoke it.

ETA: This was probably speculated somewhere on these 24 pages or elsewhere. I'm just too damn lazy right now to check.
